Re: [Nix-dev] "allowSubstitutes" option
It seem to be fairly new and might not be documented yet. Ouch, obviously I meant "it should be the opposite of". [Nix-dev] "allowSubstitutes" option
Hi all, There is "allowSubstitutes" option which is set for "writeTextFile" derivation and couple of other places. I can't find any documentation on it; from its name it should be similar to "preferLocalBuild". What are the differences? -- Nikolay. ___ nix-dev mailing list nix-dev@lists.science.uu.nl http://lists.science.uu.nl/mailman/listinfo/nix-dev
Re: [Nix-dev] nixos.org/wiki password reset does not work
I have a problem that may be related. I created a wiki account yesterday; all went fine except I can't get my mail address confirmed. When I try I get this diagnostic: Nix Wiki could not send your confirmation mail. Please check your email address for invalid characters. Mailer returned: Unknown error in PHP's mail() function. My mail address doesn't have any fancy characters as you can see. Could it be that mail notifications and feedback from the wiki does not work at all? --Rabbe Fogelholm Florian Friesdorf wrote on Fri May 22 13:27:56 CEST 2015 > https://nixos.org/wiki/Special:PasswordReset > > "Error sending mail: Unknown error in PHP's mail() function." > > -- > Florian Friesdorf > GPG FPR: 7A13 5EEE 1421 9FC2 108D BAAF 38F8 99A3 0C45 F083 ___ nix-dev mailing list nix-dev@lists.science.uu.nl http://lists.science.uu.nl/mailman/listinfo/nix-dev

I think its overloaded since around Thursday afternoon. On IRC the suspicion was that the frontend machine needs some kicking. I don’t know who’s responsible - I guess someone does, though. :) Christian — Christian Theune · c...@flyingcircus.io · +49 345 219401 0 Flying Circus Internet Operations GmbH · http://flyingcircus.io Forsterstraße 29 · 06112 Halle (Saale) · Deutschland HR Stendal HRB 21169 · Geschäftsführer: Christian. [Nix-dev] Hydra seems to be down
I’m not sure if this is the best place, but: hydra.nixos.org is not responding to requests. http://isitup.org/hydra.nixos.org This service confirms that it’s not just my local network. It works very seldomly, sometimes after 15 minutes, so it looks more like an overload problem. -- Proudly written in Mutt with Vim on NixOS. Q: Why is this email five sentences or less?
