[nlug] Reminder: no NLUG meeting tonight

2011-01-11 Thread Chris McQuistion
Just wanted to send out a reminder that we will NOT be holding our regular
NLUG meeting tonight, due to weather concerns.

Paul Weiss, from Eucalyptus Systems, will do his presentation on Ubuntu UEC
at our February meeting instead. (more information at www.nlug.org)

We will be holding our scheduled Linux Fest on January 22nd at Watkins
College. We have not yet rounded up volunteers, presentation ideas, or any
themes yet. I had hoped to have a discussion about this, at tonight's
meeting. Since that isn't taking place, please chime in the mailing list
and let us know if you have anything you'd like to present on, get help
with, see a presentation about, etc. Curt Lundgren has offered to create a
flyer for the Linux Fest, but he will need some input from the list ASAP so
that can be created.

Thanks,

Chris

I could do a talk on why open source software matters. I'll be presenting on
that subject (probably) at the KY Public Library Conference in April anyway, so
this would be a great tune-up.
