Hello everyone,

In order to build an international first-class early phase clinical
development research platform for innovative drugs, optimize Model-informed
Drug Development (MiDD) strategy for clinical development of innovative
drugs, and provide better drugs for patients with metabolic diseases,
cardiovascular diseases and tumors, Peking University Third Hospital Drug
Clinical Trial Center (PUTH-DCTC) is looking for outstanding and talented
young colleagues to push early phase drug development forward with MiDD
experience (PhD or postdoc.) in 2020.

For Talent Scientists in early phase drug development, PUTH-DCTC will
strongly support his/her application for the National “Thousand Talents
Plan” and various talent programs of Peking University, and guarantee the
same salary and the same education research support as Peking University
researchers. Additionally, PUTH-DCTC also offer attractive and competitive
salary according to his/her contribution and support the research platform
establishment (including the establishment of research team and the
provision of early research funds). With the support of the current
education, scientific research and clinical new drug development platforms,
we will work together to support you to become High-level PIs of clinical
trials, important contributors of new models of clinical pharmacology of
innovative drugs in specific disease areas, and innovators of specific
research technologies in pharmacometrics.

Currently, one Talent Scientist position is open. She /he will be formal
staffs of PUTH and associate/assistant professor of Peking University. The
Talent Scientist will be responsible for quantitative system pharmacology
(QSP) or model-based meta-analysis (MBMA) as well as Early Phase Clinical
Drug Development. Detailed salary and platform requirements can be
discussed in person.

If you are willing to participate in early clinical development research of
innovative drugs, and are interested in exploring the pharmacological and
physiological nature of diseases and their quantitative relationship as
well as early clinical research of innovative drugs, please don’t miss this
opportunity. We are looking forward to cooperating with you. If you are
interested, please refer to the open recruitment information (

[NMusers] Registration notice for the advanced PKPD course in China 2020

2019-12-30 Thread Xiaoyu Yan
Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to offer a course “The 3rd advanced pharmacokinetic
pharmacodynamic course” in Chengdu, China August 16-19, 2020. For more
information and registration see below.

*The 3rd advanced pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic course*

*COURSE OUTLINE*

Current approaches in the field of PK/PD involve development of models
based on mechanisms of drug action and their alteration of physiologic
processes. This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the
principles, techniques, and applications of PK/PD modeling with a partial
emphasis on modeling therapeutic proteins. Such modeling allows the optimal
design and interpretation of pharmacologic experiments that range from
molecular biology to human responses and can expedite the drug development
process. Lectures and examples from the recent literature will be provided
with course notes for each participant. Selected models or examples will
have a computer listing to show how to quantitate typical experimental
data. At the conclusion of this course, the biomedical scientist with basic
knowledge in pharmacokinetics will be able to understand the diverse array
of available PK/PD models and begin to apply them to experimental data and
to simulate anticipated drug responses.

*COURSE DIRECTION*

William J. Jusko, PhD

Dr. Jusko is SUNY Distinguished Professor and former Chair of
Pharmaceutical Sciences at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical
Sciences at the University of Buffalo and received the Doctor Honoris
Causae from the University of Paris Descartes in Sept 2015.

He supervises a research program on the pharmacokinetics and
pharmacodynamics of immunosuppressive, anticancer, and antidiabetic drugs.
and holds NIH grants in the areas of corticosteroid PK/PD and
mathematical modeling. He has authored over 600 publications, consults for
the FDA, NIH, and the pharmaceutical industry, and is listed in ISI Most
Highly Cited in Pharmacology.

Donald E. Mager, PhD

Dr. Mager is Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University at
Buffalo, State University of New York. He has been a fellow of the American
Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education and received the New Investigator
Award in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Drug Metabolism from the
American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists in 2007. Dr. Mager has
served as a Visiting Professor at the Université Paris Descartes and on the
Advisory Committee on Clinical Pharmacology to the FDA. His research
invokes PK/PD systems analysis to characterize drug effects, with
particular interest in anti-cancer and immuno-modulatory pharmacotherapy.
