[nodejs] Re: node dev on windows
I develop on both os x lion and ubuntu with vim and nvm for managing node versions. Almost the same experience, except sometimes some of command line tools don't work as expected on os x, but not on ubuntu. I had a Windows machine before, but used to develop under a virtual box instance in ubuntu. Almost no noticeable performance drop down. -- Job Board: http://jobs.nodejs.org/ Posting guidelines: https://github.com/joyent/node/wiki/Mailing-List-Posting-Guidelines You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups nodejs group. Re: [nodejs]will kilos setTimeout spend too much resourece?
I think for something like that you should decide how accurate you want to be and use a function on an interval to remove all expired things. Like run the function on every minute or every second, depending on your need. A A lot of timers are not a good, and not that much accurate. I have tried threads_a_gogo for something, didn't find anything wrong about it and it's much easier to use than forking or clustering for some cases. I just tried it again, and they are the same. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10.
