Sebastian Wachinger commented on OFBIZ-10769:
-

Hello Prakhar,

thank you for the screenshot! Still not working for me. How did you get there?
I open the trunk demo, click on {{Widgets}} in the Categories box, then on
{{Small Widgets}} in the tree (breadcrumbs now showing {{Main > > Small
Widgets}} ), then on the Tiny Chrome Widget product summary to get on the
product detail page, and there the breadcrumbs show {{Main > > Tiny Chrome
Widget}}

Breadcrumbs are not working correctly on other pages either, not in the trunk
demo and not in the stable demo, e.g.  {{Main > > Small Widgets}} ,  {{Main > >
> Mini Widgets en}} , in the stable demo the breadcrumbs only are correct on
the product detail pages.

[jira] [Updated] (OFBIZ-10714) Display the user selected variant product options for configurable product

2018-12-22 Thread Sebastian Wachinger (JIRA)

 [
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-10714?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel
 ]

Sebastian Wachinger updated OFBIZ-10714:

Description:
If the customer buys a configurable product, with a product component being a
{{Product Variant}}, the selected variant (Product ID and component price) is
displayed on the {{ConfigProductDetail}} page before you click {{Add to Cart}},
but after this the selected variant never is displayed, or communicated, at all:
 - not in the {{ShowCart}} page,
 - not in the checkout summary pages,
 - not at all in the confirmation email,
 - and not in the {{OrderInfo}} page (order detail page) in the backend
management.

The only way to find out which variant options the customer configured before
buying is to click on the +{{Production Run}}+ link on the {{OrderInfo}} page.
For the shop manager and manufacturer this might even be good enough, but not
communicating (i.e. documenting) the ordered and sold product configuration in
detail to the buyer spells trouble!

So it would be great if, in the pages listed above, the selected variants would
appear in detail, eg with the product ID of the selected variant product,
and/or with the product name / short description, and maybe the component
prices.

For example, the shopping cart now only displays the lines
{quote}Pizza
 Peppers
 Sauce
{quote}
Instead it should display
{quote}Pizza
 Peppers : Roasted PEPPERS-R
 Sauce : Tomato Parmesan SAUCE-TP
{quote}

 I came across the very same issue myself (while working on our new shop, using
the trunk, again, yes I know ...) before I reported -OFBIZ-10560- / OFBIZ-10536

The thing is, not only does that weird page appear as described by Jacques, but
the intended changes in the Product Store configuration are lost.
 Perhaps it might be a good idea to change the title of this here issue,
because not only setting the cart, but indeed *any* configuration change on
this page renders that weird error page, doesn't it?

My workaround at this point is to use the +Web Tools+ +Entity Data Maintenance+
on

[https://demo-trunk.ofbiz.apache.org/webtools/control/ViewGeneric?entityName=ProductStore=9000=true]
 which upon saving renders the same kind of weird page on

[https://demo-trunk.ofbiz.apache.org/webtools/control/UpdateGeneric?entityName=ProductStore]
 displaying exactly the same error message as quoted by Jacques (again no
matter what you try to change here in the configuration), but this time the
intended changes are not lost, but saved eventually.

In both cases, in the error message displayed in the console log, the following
error features prominently:

{code:java}
org.apache.tomcat.util.digester.Digester error

SEVERE: Parse Error at line 21 column 24: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the
declaration of element 'web-app'.

the intended changes in the configuration are not lost, but indeed saved.

In both cases in the error message displayed in the console log the following
error features prominently:
{{org.apache.tomcat.util.digester.Digester error

declaration of element 'web-app'.
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 21; columnNumber: 24; cvc-elt.1:

My observations suggest that this issue only appears when {{[Always View Cart
After Adding An Item]}} is checked, either on the +showcart+ page
(+modifycart+), or in the +EditProductStore+ page in the Catalog Manager,
section {{ShoppingCart}}, option {{[View Cart On Add]}}.

Hi Jacques, thank you for your message, I checked -OFBiz-7050- and this covers
a different aspect (text not being stored).

In the meantime I discovered that "{{Long Text}}" indeed is correctly displayed
in the browser (including "{{class}}" and "{{id}}" attributes), but only when
it comes from the CMS-system and not as part of an Ecommerce product- or
category page with type "{{Description - Long}}".

~Congrats for the OFBiz website relaunch (y)~

Sebastian Wachinger commented on OFBIZ-9664:

Hi Jacques, thank you for your message, I checked -OFBiz-7050- and this covers
a different aspect (text not being stored).

In the meantime I discovered that "Long Text" indeed is correctly displayed in
the browser (including "class" and "id" attributes), only as long as it is
comes from the CMS-system and not as part of an Ecommerce product- or category
page with type "Description - long".

~Congrats for the OFBiz website relaunch (y)~

> Perhaps this is no bug, but a new feature: After migrating to OFBiz 16,
> content of type "Long Text" containing HTML is now displayed in the ecommerce

> there a config file to allow those attributes to be displayed?
