Kernel log

The top part of the log unfortunately got cut off due to log buffer overflow
before the boot process could save it, but all the nouveau stuff is there.

I've increased the log buffer size, so I can send the full log next time I
reboot, if necessary.

[Nouveau] [Bug 28152] New: corruption in FVWM window decorations

2010-05-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28152

Summary: corruption in FVWM window decorations
   Product: xorg
   Version: git
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Driver/nouveau
AssignedTo: nouveau@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: nbow...@draconx.ca
 QAContact: xorg-t...@lists.x.org

Screenshot (incorrectly rendered)

On an AGP fx5700 (NV36) card, I'm experiencing rendering glitches in FVWM's
window decorations on nouveau. The artifacts are completely consistent:
exactly the same glitches occur on every single window.

These glitches do not occur with other drivers, and I'm certain they didn't
occur in nouveau last time I tried it (but this was well over a year ago).

Attaching screenshots since pictures say 1000 words.

[Nouveau] nv50 piglit change between 7.8 and master

2010-05-17 Thread Xavier Chantry
7.8 branch (533b7663) : 209/246
master branch (c882c31) : 216/241

In short :
8 fail/warn -> pass
5 fail -> skip
1 pass -> fail

So the only regression is glean/clipFlat
Output:
--
Test clipping with flat shading (provoking vertex).

clipFlat: Failure for glBegin/End(GL_QUADS), glFrontFace(GL_CCW)
GL_EXT_provoking_vertex test: GL_FIRST_VERTEX_CONVENTION_EXT mode
Expected color (0, 1, 0) but found (1, 0, 0)
clipFlat: FAIL rgba8, db, z24, s8, win+pmap, id 33

If anyone cares, I can host the detailed html results somewhere.

[Nouveau] [Bug 28140] New: console and X display do not work with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295

2010-05-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Summary: console and X display do not work with NVIDIA Quadro
NVS 295
   Product: xorg
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW

kernel logs

Using a HP Z800 with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295, under GNU/Linux (Debian/unstable
with linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64, the first kernel image using the nouveau
driver):

When I boot, the screen goes black after a few lines and the monitor goes to
sleep. Some time after (once X has started, I assume) the monitor wakes up, but
with a corrupt image.

The machine is still accessible by SSH. Otherwise one cannot do anything except
switching it off.

I've attached the beginning of the logs (compressed). Then I got the same
message (thousands of times a second) until I switched off the machine:

  [drm] nouveau :0f:00.0: PFIFO_INTR 0x0010 - Ch 1

The problem disappears after blacklisting "nouveau" (and rebooting).

Bug also reported on the Debian BTS:
