[ns] error on running nam
I am using ns-allinone-2.29 on windows XP SP-2.I have set DISPLAY environment variable as my_hostname:0..0 but I am getting an error : X11TransSocketINETConnect: Can't get address for my_hostname:0.0 : couldn't connect to display my_hostname:0.0 on running nam Can somone please help me out? - How low will we go? Hi sanjay, use $ns namtrace-all-wireless $fd $x $y instead of $ns namtrace-all $fd where x and y are respectivley x and y size of topology grid In the finish procedure, when you close all files, add the command: $ns nam-end-wireless [$ns now] keep up your work! [ns] ns-2.27 compiling error
Hi, I am trying to compile ns-2.27 for GnutellaSim. I have followed the following script: http://p2p.cs.mu.oz.au/software/vpdns/scripts/create-vpdns. During the build process for ns-2.27, I stumble upon the following error: -- Linking pdns /usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-cygwin/3.4.4/../../../../i686-pc-cygwin/bin/ld: cannot find -ldl collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [pdns] Error 1 -- Any help would be appreciated. [ns] Segmentation fault when turning a node on-off in a wireless environment
hi everyone i have a problem of getting a segmentation fault when i try to turn the nodes on-off while simulating a wireless network. the simulation ran very smoothly until i used the statement, $ns at 50.0 $node_(0) off But when i remove the statement the simulation goes fine. I saw a posting on july 2004 as well stating the same problem, but no replies were posted for that and i couldn't find any answers from the archives. So could anyone please help me. I really need this to finish my job. thanks in advance Mahesh
