[NSWolves] Re: Rumour from todays Guardian [sec=unclassified]

2008-12-17 Thread Steven Millward
He'd play for Wolves for nothing, such is his love for the club.

Still not sure who we'll sign if we go up that will not break the current
wage structure. Presumably there will be some upward flexibility for
everyone. I'd love to know what the plan is as I'm sure there is one.

2008-12-17 Thread pcrowe
Apparently Keane is on close to 100k a week at Liverpool.

Totally destroy our current wage structure if signed, can't see Moxey and MM
doing this in January. Wish they would but highly unlikely.

In answer to one of your earlier questions, I would love to see Jimmy
Bullard and Ashley Young in a Wolves shirt.

I just wonder how that will work in the Prem, should we go up.

The chance of uncovering players from the lower leagues that can fit into
Prem football straight away is very slim. We have a core of players now but
we'll undoubtedly need reinforcements. Therefore, they'll either have to be
at the top of the age range with some Prem experience, or be from Europe,
which doesn't seem to fit either.

I would sign Robbie keen like a shot. Still good, experienced, would fit
our style of play and would dearly love to return to the club.

2008/12/17 Morris, Lee SGT

I'm sure I read recently that we will avoid signing any "been there, done
that" type of players who want to come to us because we are top.

So expect more youngsters plucked from the lower league. Sinclair would be a
great loan signing, if this story is true, the success of Mancienne's loan
spell will have a influence.

Any chance we'll sign Keane from Liverpool in January? He's off apparently.

Lazy journalism again. Has been mooted for ages. Of our current squad,
which players were talked about in the press before we signed them. I can't
really think of any. There must be dozens that have featured in paper talk
but none have come.

Surely SS is getting paid too much? Or is it a loan deal?

Mick McCarthy and Alex McLeish are clambering into Lycra all-in-ones to
grapple for the signature of Chelsea whelp Scott Sinclair.
