RE: [NSWolves] Burnley
Time for the sermon... I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the Bolton game - in the Sportsbet corporate box. It was great when Bully came in and told us what the lads had been up to at training - esp the bit about MM showing them the entire Brum game in real time and letting them draw their own conclusions. He seemed really confident about a change of heart and particularly workload with the lads. He also made the point that this was a nine point game. At kick off we were stone last in the league. At half time we looked world beaters. The fans were great - unbelievably positive towards players and manager - from the warm up until after the match. Very impressed with Stearman and Ward. Miljas looked classy and was growing in confidence. Henry was great in defence (brilliant positional play and reading of the game) but still refused to pass forward. I was very worried when we only led by one at the half - should have been 3 or 4. Miljas screamer settled things down and I knew the final score would be 2-1 or 4-0. How the game changed when they scored (my fault for going to the loo). We suddenly looked like NSWolves defending against Barcelona! It was embarrassing. Hasselhoff was solid and used his height well but I dont think he was purchased as a defensive midfielder! The relief when the final whistle went was amazing - but the crowd gave the boys a really warm send off. Wish I could have been at White Hart lane :) Bring on Liverpool!
