[NTG-context] resolution
Hi I made a context-file that contains a lot of *.jpg pictures. The file is very big now, because the pictures are in good quality. I'll use the document for the web and I think there you can see no more then 72dpi (I'm not shure with that) Is there a command to set down the resolution of the whole document (including the pictures) ?? or do I have to reduce the resolution of each jpg graphic with a graphic-program. severin -- NEU FÜR ALLE - GMX MediaCenter - für Fotos, Musik, Dateien... On 14 Oct 2003, Henning Hraban Ramm stated: Ahoi! There's now a ConTeXt distribution of Bitstream Vera freeware font at my site: http://www.ramm.ch/fiee/texnique/?menu=0-1-4lang=en (Source of the font is gnome.org, redistribution is allowed, so I packed it.) Vera is similar to Verdana and Lucida; it contains Sans (4), Serif (2) and Mono (4). I'm having problem with the fonts. [NTG-context] Figure reuse
Dear Contexnicians, I believe that pdfs can make multiple use of pictures (and other objects). I have a fairly large picture which I want to include a number of times, once as the full picture and several other times concentrating on a portion of it. Are there any commands for cropping other than going through metapost? TIA -- Nigel ___ ntg-context mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context

Hi, I believe that pdfs can make multiple use of pictures (and other objects). right. I have a fairly large picture which I want to include a number of times, once as the full picture and several other times concentrating on a portion of it. Are there any commands for cropping other than going through metapost? Yes. Try this example. You can see from the resulting pdf file that the cow.pdf gets included only once. \useexternalfigure[cow] \starttext \setupclipping[nx=3,ny=3] % 1/3 of a sliced cow \hbox{% \clip [x=1,y=2]{\externalfigure[cow]} \clip [x=2,y=2]{\externalfigure[cow]} \clip [x=3,y=2]{\externalfigure[cow]} } \blank[4*big] % its in the details: \scale[sx=2,sy=2]{\clip [x=2,y=2]{\externalfigure[cow]}} \stoptext Patrick -- You are your own rainbow! ___ ntg-context mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
