Arrgh! I tried only {\hfill #1}...
Thank you very much!

But otherwise I'm a bit disappointed to get no answer to my other
questions (I only wanted to complete the information on texshow/wiki):

This error says that there are more glyphs marked as
"used" (92) than there are actually written (85). I have
temporarily disabled this test in the trunk, because it
could be caused by the change in composite character
handling in context. Can you try if the pdf is valid
with that latest version?

And can't use this method, I have to read the content between
\startTEST and \stopTEST in my module because the content
is processed twice to get information from the the first pass in
the second pass.

Well ... for now yes. (Unfortunate name for the update script, I know.)

There will be some command-line option provided later that will allow
updating at any time from any location, but it's not ready yet.

[NTG-context] latest beta hates most of my fonts

2008-02-13 Thread Thomas A. Schmitz
the latest beta refuses to work with most of my (Greek) fonts. I have
compiled the very latest trunk (rev. 1006, I think). Difficult to make
a minimal example because it doesn't happen with simple "Latin" text,
only when there's Greek in the file. The error message is always
similar:

) Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!

Does that ring a bell, or should I see if I can find a font which
doesn't work in "normal" mode? The fonts are set up like this:

\installfontfeature[otf][grbl]

\definefontfeature
   [agreek]
[mode=node,language=dflt,script=latn,kern=yes,tlig=yes,trep=yes,
 grbl=yes,featurefile=greek-babel.fea]

   \definefontsynonym [Serif] [name:BosporosU]
[features=agreek]

etc.

but running setuptex means: [dot] setuptex. Else it has no effect.

Here's the whole procedure once more:

rsync -av rsync://contextgarden.net/minimals/setup/osx-intel/first-setup.sh .
./first-setup.sh
# then, you might need to skip a bunch of currently broken greek patterns)
cd tex
# note the dot !!!

# generate luatex format - only because its autogeneration
# is broken at the moment
texexec --make --lua en

[NTG-context] Nonletter again: ConTeXt ver: 2008.02.13 12:11 MKII

2008-02-13 Thread Otared Kavian
Hi Hans and Thomas,

The issue I reported on yesterday, when updating, is still present at
a different location though.
I updated to

ConTeXt ver: 2008.02.13 12:11 MKII fmt: 2008.2.13 int: english/
english

and got the following:

(/usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.local/tex/context/patterns/lang-agr.pat
! Nonletter.
l.206 4´

I report this, but my installation of ConTeXt works fine despite the
above issue.

The command needs to be in a single line (it has been broken in mail).
So "folder-with-otf-lm" needs to stay in the same line (and you need
to replace it with the actual folder).

mtx-update fails to generate the luatex format somehow (it had
problems with xetex and pdftex before, after the fix, luatex makes
some problems). Try to run "texexec --make --lua en" manually first.

If you set
   \tracingassigns=1
   \tracingrestores=1
you will get a dump in the log of all assignments (and that
includes definitions) as well as restores.

You will not get the full definitions of macros though, just the
first 32 tokens. If you want the full definition, you really have
to hack the web source.

suppose that I , while I'm making format , I need to trace macro definitions
(\edef,\xdef,\def,\let and eventually alias like \let\define\def, so

This is actualy pretty easy, I did that for a TeX->XML conversion once.
You have to redefine each and every command and make all special chars
like $ and _ \active, but it is in fact pretty easy and fairly reliable.

I would not do it like that again, these days I would use lpeg, but
it was not nearly as complicated to do it in tex macros as I had
anticipated.

Best wishes,
Taco

It works for me with:

   folder-with-otf-lm == /opt/tex/texmf/fonts/opentype/public/lm

the (code 23) is likely to be some local file writing error.

Best wishes,
Taco

It looks like there is no "cont-en.luc" nor "cont-en.lua" in
/home/balin/luatex-cache/context/df978da3a6143ec9969278aafe7c9243/formats

This is usually because you don't have a texluac command installed.
(a copy or symlink of luatex under the name texluac)

Best wishes,
Taco

it look like you don't run luatex at all

run texexec with --verbose to see what command is issued
