If not, build a lpeg parse should be feasible.

But that XML is not ePUB's XML, I assume.

output support except for two minor features.

HTML links and images can have a "title" attribute that shows like a
tooltip, but I don't seem to find a way to do similar trick in ConTeXt,
any ideas? \tooltip seems to be the closest but it requires JS which
means AR only, also seems one have to click for the tooltip ti show

something

dofile(resolvers.findfile("yourfile.lua"))

but keep in mind that most of the mkiv code depends on other code and

Thanks, Wolfgang. My document now compiles without errors and produces a

[NTG-context] What is preloaded by “mtxrun --script”?

Hi all,

I noticed that although mtxrun preloads some of the context libs

like “luat-ini” &c. on demand? “environment.loadluafile()”? Can

Example: This snippet checks the global env for some tables.

}

else
print(item, "Nope!")
end
end

-- Comprehensive:

(My issue is that I’m testing the lua internals of module code
without having to startup the whole big typesetting environment.
Would be much easier if everything normally accessible from
inside an mkiv session was there as well.)

Thanks for any insights, Philipp

[NTG-context] problem with bibliography

2011-02-16 Thread Thomas A. Schmitz
Hi Hans and all,

the current beta has a problem with a bibliography entry I have in my project.
I can't quite put my finger to it, but here's a fairly minimal example. It
compiles without problems with an older version I happen to have on my disk
(2011.01.06 17:08), but not with the current beta (2011.02.16 19:30):

\startpublication[k=malkin2001,t=book,
a={{Malkin}},y=2001,
n=444,s=Mal01]
\editor[]{Irad}[I.]{}{Malkin}
\pubyear{2001}

n=443,s=Sa{\"\i}01]
\artauthor[]{Suzanne}[S.]{}{Sa{\"\i}d}
\pubyear{2001}
\arttitle{The Discourse of Identity in Greek Rhetoric from Isocrates to
  Aristides}
\editor[]{Irad}[I.]{}{Malkin}
\crossref{malkin2001}
\pages{275--99}

\setuppublications
  [refcommand=authoryear]

\starttext

\startsection[title=Test]
\cite[said2001]

\placepublications[criterium=all]

\stopsection

\stoptext

It looks like it's the author's name Sa{\"\i}d, but this works in normal text,
just not in a bibliography. Can you see what's wrong?

Thanks, and best wishes

I would put them in a lua table and access them when needed (you can

Can you test it with the latest beta, your example runs fine here.

BTW: Doesn’t \setmainfont[Minion Pro][expansion=quality,protrusion=quality]

[NTG-context] \setupalign[hz,hanging] breaks verbatim text

2011-02-16 Thread C.
I have a strange problem in one of my documents.
When I uncomment the line with \setupalign[hz,hanging] everything works
fine. When I use it, I get this error because of a verbatim typing segment:

\obeyedline ->\par

\doverbatimendofline ->\dostoptagged \obeyedline
 \par \ifconditional
\verbat...
l.10 \dodisplayverbatimstop

  \dostoptagged
\endofverbat...
l.71 \stoptyping

! ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced!
mtx-context | fatal error: return code: 1

Here is the troublemaker:
\starttyping
test;
äüöAR \test \Context
\stoptyping

Interestingly I was not able to produce a real minimal example, because when
I remove everything except these lines, it’s working fine again. So there
has to be at least some lines of text to break stuff. Oh yeah, and it seems
that using simplefonts and Minion also plays a role.
Can somebody have a look at this, please? The attached file like it is does
not compile here.

[NTG-context] using ConTeXt/LuaTeX instead of a spreadsheet program

2011-02-16 Thread Paul Menzel
Dear ConTeXt folks,

could you please share your experiences with or point me to a resource
dealing with the following issue.

I need to evaluate some physics experiments where I have some values
which got measured. I thought I could use ConTeXt with LuaTeX to do all
the calculations instead of the calculator and enter the results by hand
or a spreadsheet program.

Would I enter the values (not many) at the top of the TeX document and
refer to them in the other places? Is an extra file a better approach?

Thanks,

Paul

With MkIV you can get a xml version of document with \setupbackend[export=yes].

- Font loading. Overall font loading is simpler, but you might need to
adapt your typescripts (on occasions I have had to define \sc in terms of
\addfontfeature, but I haven't checked if that is still needed).

- Regimes: MkIV assumes UTF-8.

- Headings: the setups for chapter and section stoppers and referencing
has changed. You have much more flexibility now, but need to adapt your
style files accordingly.

- Metapost: It is no longer possible to change the color of a label in
metapost. (You can set it up at TeX level, so this is not a
limitation...you just need to change the label commands).

Thank you for the clear answer.

The only thing I wish that there was more information about mathcolumn

with \startmathcases ... \stopmathcases you get a curly bracket to the

then \startalign ... \stopalign could be want you need (it's also on
page [1]). There's also a "My Way" [2] about mathalign.
