Nice! Even though I don't understand why, it does the job :-)

Thank you very much!

[NTG-context] Troubles with presentations

2015-10-06 Thread Tomas Hala
Hello all,

I would like to ask for a piece of help with presentations.

I decided to use the way described at
http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Presentations
and http://wiki.contextgarden.net/RawSteps. (I use TL 2015.)

Problems I came across are:
1. On the first slide, a line with the word "yes" has been generated.
(Sometimes more than once, in dependence of number of modules.)
2. Command SetupSteps is undefined.
3. Command StartSteps is defined but not applied.

What I am doing wrong?
Is somewhere any more detail documentation?

Thanks,

Tomas

Almost minimal example:

\usemodule[pre-original]
\usemodule[rsteps]
\usemodule[pre-60]

\setuppapersize[S6][S6]
\setuppagenumbering[state=stop]
\setuptolerance[verytolerant,stretch]
\setupinteractionscreen[option=max]
\setupinteraction[state=start,color=middlered]
\useURL [garden][http://contextgarden.net][][Context garden]

%\SetupSteps[defaultsection=Subject,reserve=no]

\starttext%

\TitlePage {pre-funny\\Title Page}
The \from[garden] site is useful.

[NTG-context] custom :cite setups with new bibliography system

2015-10-06 Thread Eidenbenz Michael
This works only with method=dataset in current context.
In beta the method=local works, but then \btxfield is broken for the :cite
setups

Is there a workaround or is this temporaily broken?

Thanks and best regards

Michael

In reality my footer is lot more complex (huge table :-)) and I see no
better way to handle this.

Is there a way to fix this situation? (Preferable without rolling out
a new ConTeXt version?)

[NTG-context] reading attribute from ancestor element in XML

2015-10-06 Thread massifr
Hello list,
I have an XML fragment like this:

  12 blah blah...

In the typeset text I want to substitute the text of the sup element ("12")
with the id ("myid") in its div grandfather.

The xmlsetup associated to the sup element looks like this:

\startxmlsetups xml:sup
  \xmlatt{\xmlfirst{#1}{../..}}{id}
\stopxmlsetups

This gives an error (TeX capacity exceeded).
I'm using ConTeXt version 2015.06.15.
I've tried \xmlfilter and \xmlall too, with different lpaths.
Sometimes ConTeXt ends without errors,
but I've never managed to get the text of that attribute.

What's the right way to backtrack to parent and ancestor nodes?

I found another issue with workaround:
http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Tabulate#Itemization_or_framed_objects_inside_a_tabulation
You need to set "\tabulatesplitlinemode \plustwo" if you put widgets in a
tabulation.
Is there any reason not to set this per default?

it would break other things

it's hard to predict what goes in cells so some heuristics works better

According to the old widgets manual I thought I could set default values of
fields calling JS functions or variables as [JS(MyFunc)], but that doesn’t work.

Greetlings Hraban,

This appears to be a pdf reader problem. On Win 8.1, Windows Reader and Chrome
both show an editable field; Firefox and Sumatra show a non-editable field.

That’s not the problem, creating fields works great. Since JS works (probably)
only in Adobe products anyway, I don’t care about other viewers.

But JavaScript code (within JSpreamble or JScode sections) is only copied by
ConTeXt into the PDF if there’s a call of \goto to one of the defined JS
functions.
Additionally, calling JS functions for default values of fields doesn’t work
like it did in MkII (and like it’s documented in m-widgets.pdf).

JS in PDFs is not easy to handle, but ConTeXt should at least copy my code into
the PDF as it’s documented and used to work in MkII.
