[NTG-context] Footnotes in footnotes

2016-08-31 Thread Jose Luis Arellano
Dear list,
I want to report a possible bug (I think), when one try to put a footnote
into another footnote, here is MWE (from wiki):

\starttext
This\footnote{Or that\footnote{Or possibly even the other.}, if you
prefer.} is a sentence with a footnote.
\stoptext

As you can see, the second footnote is not placed in the page.

Thanks.

when I use a body font size other than the standard, issuing \vfill will move

Hello,

thank you - I thought the is something wrong on my side - I thought ConTeXt was
able to find 'cow' without altering \setupexternalfigures + location.

Best regards,

Lukas

illustrate a bug on the mailing list. These images are locating in the TEXMF
directory. To add the TEXMF directory to the image search path, use:

\setupexternalfigures[location={local,global,default}]

How to tell ConTeXt where to look for "installed-in" images?

I have never noticed the setup \setupfloatcaption before, but I think
you have to add a top/middle/bottom or so to the outermargin, like

The vertical position can be controlled by low, middle or high because top
and bottom position the caption before or after the float.

\setupfloatcaption[figure][location={outermargin,middle}]
\starttext

\placefigure
[top]
{The famous dutch cow!}
{\externalfigure[cow]}
\stoptext

Another option might be to use \setupcaption (somebody could perhaps
tell the difference between \setupfloatcaption and \setupcaption?)
\setupfloatcaption is the internal command to change the layout of the
caption
and \setupcaption(s) is a synonym for it (needed for backwards
compatibility).

Re: [NTG-context] Caption placement in margin

2016-08-31 Thread Henri Menke
Dear Mikael,

thanks for your reply! Indeed, one has to add this second specifier, but only
middle produces a sensible result. Both top and bottom override the
outermargin, so there is probably something wrong.

Regarding \setupfloatcaption and \setupcation, there is no difference. In
base/mkiv/strc-flt.mkvi you can find the following definitions:

\let\setupcaption \setupfloatcaption
\let\setupcaptions\setupfloatcaption

Cheers, Henri
