Did you try makepy with the Acrobat DLLs?
if found a small script on the internet that does what I need. It uses

yes that's right, but I think that ps2pdf and pstopdf is not the same...
ps2pdf is a batchfile in the gs library
and pstopdf is a ruby "script" which is packed in the "cont-exa.zip". this
need ruby and gs.

on my system both programs are installed and i have set a path to all these
directories. but when I run
"exampler.rb --continue" it seems that I don't have some files:

C:\Programme\texmf\context\examplap\scripts>exampler.rb --continue
exampler  +  program exampler
exampler  +  version 1.0
exampler  +  author PRAGMA POD
exampler  +  commandline "--continue"
exampler + using environment setuppath C:/Programme/texmf/context/ruby
exampler  +  loading ./example.exa
exampler - sub environment file machine.exa not found
exampler - sub environment file presets.exa not found
exampler + !! checking if texroot is set to a valid path !!
exampler + !! setting variables based on kpsewhich !!
exampler - sub environment file paths.exa not found
exampler - sub environment file local.exa not found
exampler + gone to jobpath C:/Programme/texmf/localtexmf/examplap/jobs
exampler  +  jobpath C:/Programme/texmf/localtexmf/examplap/jobs
exampler  +  resultpath C:/Programme/texmf/localtexmf/examplap/results
exampler + server started on 127.0.0.1:8061
exampler + listening at 127.0.0.1:8061 in loop mode

and when i type "pstopdf --method=4 r.pdf" the the conversation never ends
and "gswin32" takes almost all my RAM!!

what can I do?

I use MS Windows and Miktex. GS is installed and I downloaded ruby for
Windows as well...

do I have to install "pstopdf" seperatly?

[NTG-context] resolution

2003-10-24 Thread Severin Obertuefer
Hi

I made a context-file that contains a lot of *.jpg pictures. The file is
very big now, because the pictures are in good quality.
I'll use the document for the web and I think there you can see no more then
72dpi (I'm not shure with that)
Is there a command to set down the resolution of the whole document
(including the pictures) ?? or do I have to reduce the resolution of each jpg graphic
with a graphic-program.

[NTG-context] Re: [NTG-context]metapost prblem

2003-09-22 Thread Severin Obertuefer
thanks for your answer

it works, but only with a "normal" circle.
if the circle is xyscaled the same thing seems to bee much more
complicate...
here is the mp-code once again:

beginfig(2);
path c;
pair A, B;
c := fullcircle scaled 2 cm xyscaled(1.3,.8);
A := (origin--(3cm,2cm)) intersectionpoint subpath (0,2) of c;
B := (origin--(-5cm,1cm)) intersectionpoint subpath (2,4) of c;
draw c;
draw origin--B;
draw origin--A;
endfig;

how can i clip the part of the path c between A and B in this case??

thanks for help

[NTG-context] (no subject)

2003-09-21 Thread Severin Obertuefer
hi

i have the following metapost picture:

beginfig(2);
path c;
pair A, B;
c := fullcircle scaled 2 cm;
A := (origin--(3cm,2cm)) intersectionpoint subpath (0,2) of c;
B := (origin--(-5cm,1cm)) intersectionpoint subpath (2,4) of c;
draw c;
draw origin--B;
draw origin--A;
endfig;

how can I cut the the part of the path c between A and B, so that the result
is like a cheese :)

i made:

path t;
t := saucer cutafter A;
c := c cutbefore B;

now c and t is that what i want, but i it possible to cominte these two
paths to one path.

I think there is a more elegant way to do that...somethink like "subpath
(B,A) of c"

thanks for help
