Re: [NTG-context] Typefile with Chinese, Korean or Japanase text
Thanks for all your input and help, but as said before I don't have the time to upgrade and than to discover existing things don't work resulting in a complete new thread to debug these existing things and/or fix with a new beta installation. But that is perhaps not my biggest concern with all these beta releases, ConText is great and for the most part easy to use, I am more worried that my existing ConText environment (setup) becomes broken, and/or resulting in complete different PDF output. I have no way of knowing, apart from visually inspecting a lot of pages of PDF. I thought including some code examples via \typefile (with a bit of text in either Cyrillic, Chinese, Japanese or Korean) could be achieved with a simple local font switch, or setting a regime or via \setuptyping but not on a global level with \definefontsynonym, definefontfallback etc. My fix is to change the examples a bit and continue. Re: [NTG-context] Typefile with Chinese, Korean or Japanase text
I disagree, a version from 2016 is not very old. I have a lot of documents using a ConText setup which works with this version of luatex and context. Last week I tried to use the latest beta with my documents and the beta was unable to run my documents. As it seems it is not backward compatible and I have no time at the moment to debug or test. So no, I cannot update at the moment. [NTG-context] Context, Metapost \sometxt and color
Hi The following used to work, the text came out in the color red, now it is shown in black. Am I doing something wrong here ? Or should I use something else instead ? Any help appreciated % example code \setupcolors[state=start] \starttext \startMPcode picture p; p := \sometxt{$R_{\mu \nu } - \frac{1}{2} R - \Lambda g_{\mu \nu} = \kappa T_{\mu \nu}$} ; p := p scaled 3; draw p withcolor red; \stopMPcode \stoptext Version info This is pdfeTeX, Version 3.141592-1.30.3-2.2 (Web2c 7.5.5) \write18 enabled. [NTG-context] Index and bookmark problem
Hi, I get an error when I use bookmarks in combination with indexed keywords in chapter/section like the example below. When I comment out the \placebookmarks, things seem to work. Is this behavior to be expected or is there a workaround/solution ? \setupfootertexts[] \setupheadertexts[][][][] \setupregister[index] [partnumber=no, criterium=all, pagestyle={\tf}, style={\WORD}, % use uppercase header characters! interaction=pagenumber, align=yes] \completeindex \stoptext Error from log >texmfstart texexec --autopdf --pdf testindex.tex TeXExec | processing document 'testindex.tex' TeXExec | no ctx file found TeXExec | tex processing method: context TeXExec | TeX run 1 TeXExec | writing option file testindex.top TeXExec | using randomseed 1138 TeXExec | tex engine: pdfetex TeXExec | tex format: cont-en TeXExec | progname: context This is pdfeTeX, Version 3.141592-1.30.3-2.2 (Web2c 7.5.5) \write18 enabled. [NTG-context] math tests - subformula ref's and symbols \oiint \oiiint like in Latex AMS
Title: math tests - subformula ref's and symbols \oiint \oiiint like in Latex AMS Hi, I am using Context for the second time now and I am investigating the pro's and con's before migrating my Latex documents to Context. So far I am really impressed with Context capabilities. Now I am testing some of the math I typeset with Latex to determine whether or not to use Context. In Latex I am using the ams math packages and knowing that there is a amsl module for Context I did some test such as \def\wdiv{{\rm div} \:} \def\rot{{\rm rot} \:} \placeformula[eqn1] \startformula \eqalignno{ \wdiv \vec{E} & = \frac{\rho}{\epsilon_{0}} &\formulanumber{.a} \cr \rot \vec{B} & = \mu_{0} \:\vec{j} &\subformulanumber{.b} \cr \wdiv \vec{B} & = 0 &\subformulanumber{.c} \cr \rot \vec{E} + \frac{\partial \vec{B} }{\partial t} & = 0 & \subformulanumber{.d} \cr} \stopformula How can I refer to these subformulas in my running text ? As I am typesetting a lot of math in my physics doc's I use a lot of integration symbols amongs others. In Latex I use \oint, \oiint and \oiint, even a quadruple int to indicate space - time integrals. Even I defined a tex command for the surface integral. I also found the Context \showmathcharacters which gave me most of the math symbols from the amsl module. However I did not found alternatives for \oiint, \oiiint unfortenately. I discovered the \definemathsymbol in several context tex files, I was wondering if it is possible to setup my own \oiint, \oiiint, \ont ... symbols ? If yes, my problem is I can't find any docu's on the usage of \definemathsymbol ? Any help appreciated Kind regards W.Neimeijer ___ ntg-context mailing list ntg-context@ntg.nl http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
[NTG-context] Newbie question ConText
Title: Newbie question ConText Hi, I am a Latex (MikTex 2.4, WindowsXP Pro) user and I want to learn more about ConText. I installed ConText via the MikTex 2.4 package manager, and read some of the ConText manuals. I also compiled successfully some of the ConText tex samples, but I ran into a couple of problems : - First I would like to know the most recent stable version of ConText and where to get it. - Looking at the logs of some of the runs e.g. compiling the MetaFun manual, I am running into font problems. Error messages like : maketfm : No creation rule for font "ComputerModernSans-Bold" pop up. I saw some emails on this list dealing with the same problem, but I could not find a definite solution. Thanks for your help Kind regards W. Neimeijer ___ ntg-context mailing list ntg-context@ntg.nl http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
