This should come with your TeX system (Linux system, downloaded TeX system, whatever) that tells you about things that you need to know about your TeX system. Including the available fonts. Since I don't know what your TeX system is, I can't tell you if you have such a local guide. Thank you Patrick... I am my distributor maintainer. I installed linux in my pc box less than a year ago, and I see font files everywhere (X directory fonts, TeX directory fonts, TrueType, OpenType, Type1, etc...) but don't know if they are accessible from Context. what is the "local guide" you refer to? Wouldn't it be nice to have a command in Context like: \listavailablefonts [type1 | truetype | ... | all] or \listavailablefamilyfonts [] ... and another to check whether a font is properly installed (that is, whether it has \bf, \it, \sc, math, etc), like: \checkfont [fontname] Luigi, thank you.
