Where did you find the disk cloning option ? (One shot as was the old Symantec
Ghost))

We are now using EaseUS ToDo Backup

It does partition's, images, disk cloning, etc.

http://www.todo-backup.com/

It also does from free to enterprise, workstation and server

We are a Dell laptop shop and has no problems with multiple partitions

This is a relative newcomer, I believe, with all flavors from free to
enterprise and technician licenses:
  http://www.partitionwizard.com

I used it for replicating Windows 8 partitions to a smaller drive and got the
same results I got from gparted - the result wouldn't boot and startup repair
wouldn't fix it. It seemed to me odd that startup repair wouldn't try doing
these 3 things, which did fix it:

bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /rebuildbcd

Subject: Cloning software

I am looking for a hard drive cloning software. Is Clonezilla still considered
to be one of the best? I will be booting from the CD to clone one drive to
another. At last count there was 3 partitions one is a diagnostics, one a
recover and the last one is the OS drive. The manufacturer is telling me it
will not clone the 3 partitions as they have them configured ie the first 2 are
"hidden".

Thanks a lot,

Jon

It has an X at the end. Anything with an X at the end is better.
It's like "32" from the 1990's.
