pinging servers

2010-08-18 Thread DAVID SMITH
I have 2 servers that are identical that has 2 network ports. Both of the
servers have their local connection plugged into port 1 and their back network
plugged into port 2. When you ping the server name on these servers, one
server replies back with the local area connection and the other replies back
with the back network. Why is this?

space problem on server

2008-08-29 Thread DAVID SMITH
I have a server that we don't have much space on the c drive. We have deleted
all the uninstall directories, logs, .txt files, and zip files, but need to get
some more space. There is a a lot of files in the c:\windows\ directory called
rs9_kb932555 and so on. Are these ok to delete or do you know of any files
that you normally delete if you run into a space problem.

deleting files

2008-07-31 Thread DAVID SMITH
We are running out of space on our c drive and I want to clear up some space.
Can I delete the windows\servicepackfiles\i386 files and the
windows\softwareinstallation\download files without hurting anything? Thanks
for your advice.

computer problem

2008-05-21 Thread DAVID SMITH
I have a computer that when ever you bring a program up it sounds like the
processor is about to take off. It gets real loud. If you look at the task
manager it has a program about 99%. If you add more memory will it fix the
problem.
