that the article was written the same day that the software was released
exclusively (on what I believe is a related party owned site[1])
Download.com makes me uber suspicious.

Unless it whacks your NIC, I would agree it seems too good to be true.  Then 
again, it is probably so new that the zero-day exploits have not yet been found.
