I have the wpad entry pushed out via GPO.  If users take their laptop home,
it works fine...  Not sure what else to tell you...  If the browser can't
find the proxy server it should allow you out...

What's the most elegant way to handle turning off the proxy when a laptop user 
leaves the building?
Firefox works nicely with the wpad setup so I don't have to touch it, but ie7
