Turn on Windows Installer logging? Check the event log for messages from the
installer?

rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such
a question.

Ditto to what James said. Anything in the event logs. What version of
Windows, Office and Citrix?

Doesn't Microsoft offer free support for patch problems?

Did you try the switch to generate an installer log and see what the log had to
say?

The event logs point me right back to the office source engine - as originally
stated, I tried this solution and it did not work. Nothing is wrong with the
ose, I started it, tried to manually patch and they still fail.
