But as I'm reading through the PDF I can see it would be difficult to listen to the various examples included. So far, though, I'm thinking this would be great to provide to our C-level execs; most have no idea of the risks associated with this type of activity. Why would someone attack us? RE: * My New Book Is Out: CYBERHEIST
I have a Kindle, and it works very nicely for reading books. The screen is spooky though--looks like print on a page, not a computer screen. I understand that you can ( I haven't tried it yet, so take it as hearsay for now) email a pdf to a special Kindle address and the gnomes will translate it into Kindle format and return it to your Kindle. And that Kindle should read aloud any kindle format book to you. I will have to try this out this weekend... In my copious spare time of which I have none... RE: * My New Book Is Out: CYBERHEIST
Well, it aint as easy as that. Kindle books are really HTML, and they need to be formatted *just so* or it is not displaying well. Just went through that whole exercise. It's not as easy as they make it sound it is... :-) But let me know how it went this weekend? RE: * My New Book Is Out: CYBERHEIST
I agree Stu, the entire process is a PITA the first time. It took me 3 weeks to get mine to where it passed the validation test and then the 2nd TOC file didn't get processed properly. Now my book doesn't have the proper 2nd TOC markers on the bottom of the screen. What is the kicker is the Kindle files and the iBook files have the same names and formatting and format codes but they are totally incompatible.
