RE: FEP and Adware:Win32/Hotbar

2011-07-22 Thread Miller Bonnie L .
Yeah, I had just gotten home and read the last message from MS and replied
before checking. I'm glad they were able to push it out-earlier they thought
it might not be until the midnight update.

Anyone using FEP 2010 and having an "outbreak" today of Adware:Win32/Hotbar?

I have a call in with PSS right now (waiting for a callback), but this is
looking like it could be a bad update or a false positive (or a real outbreak
of some kind). Just wondered if anyone else has seen it today as I have a
colleague claiming it might be a widespread MS problem. I'm not finding much

Thanks,
Bonnie

Thanks Rod-do you have a link to that list (you can send to me off-list if need
be)? I'm trying to provide information to our team. I'll search again
too-didn't find much though a few hours ago.

Folks on the Forefront list have been reporting it all morning as a potential
false positive.

I'm not finding much
new with searching online.

Thanks,
Bonnie
