See if those IE-only apps work in Firefox + IE Tab extension. (On a couple of XP machines here, including mine, we need to use this combination to run MS Update. There is a different installer for WIN2003 and XP. JC, We have had issues with IE7 on a couple of Vista machines here. I have been able to get every one of them working again, by installing the IE8 Beta and then uninstalling it afterwards. This appears to reset IE7 back to its original config. No promises, but it might be worth a try.
