Subject: Print Drivers

I have a 2008r2 print server w/ x86/x64 drivers for several printers, I have a
GPP that applies mapped printers on Win7 clients.
Problem is it forces the map in the users context and unlike older windows, the
drivers don't just install.

How does one get around this?

Thanks!

2010-10-18 Thread Brian Desmond
If I remember right there's a GP setting that says to let normal users install
signed point and print drivers. You may also have to specify the trusted print
servers in that list.

Thanks,

RE: Print Drivers

2010-10-18 Thread Joseph L. Casale
Thanks guys, it's been a long weekend. At most 3 hours sleep a night 3 days in
a row.
I knew rolling this many changes out untested would be chaotic, we also made
physical changes to the network at the same time which was rather hairy as the
systems needed to do it were on the changing networks. Miracle it worked so far.
