[nysbirds-l] NYSDEC seeks experienced birders for Volunteer Winter Raptor Monitoring in Southern New York State

[dec.sm.Wildlife.R3]

The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation is seeking experienced birders 
to participate in volunteer winter raptor monitoring.  The surveys will be 
conducted at various locations surrounding and including the Shawangunk 
Grasslands NWR and the Wallkill River NWR, and potentially other sites in 
Ulster, Dutchess, Orange and Westchester Counties.  Surveys are typically 
conducted roadside and will take place around dusk, lasting 1 hour and will be 
performed twice per month from December to March.  If interested please contact

or click "Reply via Email" at the bottom of this page.  Please include a brief 
description of your birding experience, especially with raptors.  Thank you.
