[nysbirds-l] Barrow's Goldeneye/Crab Meadow Beach

2018-02-08 Thread John Askildsen
Hi Bobby and Colleen-

May the birds be with you, and thank you for your post. But, can you tell us
all please where "Crab Meadow Beach" is, town, county, etc., and when you had
the bird, please? Further, if you would, please provide full names. I think I
know who "Bobby and Colleen" are, but I am not completely sure. Your posts go
out to something like 1,200 people from Montauk, Long Island, NY, to Toronto,
Canada. As always your posts are appreciated !

Many thanks.

[nysbirds-l] Eagle's nest

2018-02-08 Thread bloobird

Hi AllA huge nest suddenly appeared last week at the FDR statepark (in
Yorktown), viewed from the Taconic State Parkway.  If going SB the nest is
directly across from (on the left hand side) of the Donald Trump Park Sign
(Just after the Baldwin Rd Exit 14 sign) I saw an Eagle sitting by the nest
this week. Not sure if it's an Eaglenest- but it is huge!!Sincerely,Tammie Carey

[nysbirds-l] Barrow's Goldeneye

2018-02-08 Thread Colleen Veltri
I do apologize about posting the location of Crab Meadow Beach. I made the
assumption that the Barrow's was being followed through previous posts.
Crab Meadow Beach is in Northport, Suffolk, Long Island. Sorry I don't
have the coordinates but you if you google Crab Meadow Beach you can get
the exact directions, that is the way we found it.

May the birds be with you

Here's the shared location shown on an eBird map ... click on 'View
Details' to get species info when it was 'Last Seen' or 'First Seen' or
'High Counts' plus more:
