[nysbirds-l] Catbird at Twin Lakes Park in Eastchester

2020-01-24 Thread Andrew Block
While making a brief stop at Twin Lakes Co. Park in Eastchester I found a Gray
Catbird and female Eastern Towhee amongst a flock of sparrows.  Nice to see the
catbirds around this time of year.  It and a mockingbird were feeding on rose
hips.

[nysbirds-l] Bald Eagles - Sayville

2020-01-24 Thread Eileen Schwinn
After arriving too late to see the White Pelican on Mill Pond in Sayville,
while heading west on Montauk Hwy, we saw two adult Bald Eagles, on a nest atop
the communication tower easily seen from the corner of Hanson and Montauk Hwy.
