Apologies,

The bird that was rescued by the rangers at Carl Schurz Park was a Great Blue
Heron found near the 87th Street entrance.

continuing immature drake King Eider, at Brooklyn Army Terminal Pier 4.

The Eider, is currently just up the road at Bush Terminal Park. It is near
where the Scaup and Bufflehead usually gather.

Also earlier, a continuing Iceland Gull was also observed at Bush Terminal Park.

[nysbirds-l] RE: [nysbirds-l] LeConte’s Sparrow continuing Tue 12/22 Croton Pt Park Westchester.

2020-12-22 Thread debbie
Thanks Anne.

Just a reminder to everyone that they must PLEASE stay on the main pathway
going over the landfill and not walk on any of the side paths (as inviting as
they look) as the grassland project is still very much under way. This
grassland project is so critical for this unique habitat and this sparrow
hanging around is a testament to its success so far.

Please also refrain from using playback – the sparrow is very accommodating and
comes fairly close to the main pathway if you stay still and quiet.
