Update: the spoonbill took off and crossed Route 9, heading SSW. I'm told it 
has done this for the last two mornings around this time. Return time has 
varied, based on local reports.

Many thanks to Vincent Bihn and his son, Vincent II, for finding the bird last 
Tuesday and alerting the birding community !!

[nysbirds-l] Cold Spring Harbor LI Roseate Spoonbill Continues…

Robert Proniewych reports this AM that the Roseate Spoonbill continues in Cold 
Spring Harbor. It was observed across from the fishing pier which I think is 
along 25A.

While I was not able to twitch (as yet) any of the Roseate Spoonbills being 
reported, I am enjoying reading all of the reports coming in and I know many 
others do as well.
