Maybe that female Peregrine at Riverside Church, Manhattan, is still suffering "empty nest syndrome" and complaining about it. I saw her baby boy, the only male from this year's litter of four, on 22 Sept at East Branch (Sodom) Reservoir in extreme southeast Putnam Co. I read and reported the code on the colored leg band. He was banded on 28 May, in the nest. And he seemed to be doing just fine without Mom in Sept.
