On Wednesday, a quick mid-afternoon drive along Dune Rd., from the Quogue Bridge to the Ponquogue Bridge, Hampton Bays, produced 3 Clapper Rails. A pair, in the marsh, quite close to the road just e/o Dockers Res't. were not shy. The 3rd rail was found in the marsh w/o the dirt road which parallels the potholed road with the osprey nest - this bird was also not shy !
