There is a drake Eurasian Wigeon among the growing numbers of American Wigeon on St. John's Pond in Cold Spring Harbor. Species diversity has also increased here in the past week.
All of the ducks were located toward the south end of the pond and a scope may be necessary to pick out the Eurasian Wigeon, which has not yet obtained its full breeding plumage.
