Please have patience! Two individuals have walked out to the bush in the last few minutes. Fortunately the sparrow is present, using the southern most of the three small junipers. [nysbirds-l] Le Conte's Sparrow at Calverton Grasslands
I just got a call from Seth Ausubel who reported that Tom Burke found a Le Conte's Sparrow at the Calverton Grasslands. The bird is in a fenced-off area with some kind of electrical equipment in it along the northern-most runway just west of the north-south road that splits the property.
