I went for the Fish Crows to the foot of Hertel Avenue in Buffalo this morning. This was my second attempt, having dipped on the previous effort. This time I did much better, spotting four or five smaller crows and hearing about a half-dozen FISH CROW calls. Unfortunately, I never saw a Fish Crow calling - until I was about ready to leave. A small crow flew right over me, very close, then called - it was a Fish Crow, which then landed in a nearby tree. This bird kept calling and I was able to get some digiscoped video of it calling. Check out the 30-second video at this link. You may need to turn the volume up:

I did have a MERLIN there. A stop at the Lewiston landing yielded six BLACK VULTURES feeding on fish along the Canadian shore and ten LITTLE GULLS counted in a single pass with binoculars. The Black Vultures dominated the three TURKEY VULTURES here, which flew part way up the steep slope when approached by a Black Vulture and cowered behind a bush. For Ontario birders, this would be a few hundred meters downriver from the Queenston boat ramp. Good birding!
