Hello everyone, I want to make the birding community aware that there are plans to extend the bike path towards the West End 2 parking lot at Jones Beach. This is going to include building a path on the lawn on the bay side. This is a huge problem for all of us who love walking Jones Beach. The plan was already deemed to have no significant adverse environmental impact by NYS OPRHP, however I beg to differ. It may perhaps prevent access as well.
