The male Purple Finch was still present at Hoyt Farm Park in Commack (Suffolk
Co.) this morning. I had to wait 20-25 minutes before it made its first
appearance, so some patience is required.
Migrant presence elsewhere in the park was relatively light, but I did find 1
Eastern Phoebe, 2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and 8-10 Golden-crowned Kinglets.
