I'm confused. Now, just 1hr later, I don't see them any more on the same
file...

I'll will try to narrow it down.

[Okular-devel] Zoom in Presentation View

2013-11-12 Thread Werner Froidevaux
Hi all,

In Standard view, Okular supports zooming with Ctrl-+/- and with
Ctrl-Mousewheel. Unfortunately not in Presentation view. This function
would be very nice in case the presentation is done on a "twin view"
connected monitor having a lower resolution than the primary screen.
This feature is available in acroread and it would be very nice having
it in Okular, too.

Rgs,
-werner.

Thanks for writing to us, this list is more for developers than for users
(hence the name), so let me as you, are you a developer wanting to implement
the feature or a user asking for it?

It you're a user, please file the feature request at bugs.kde.org where it is
so much easier to keep track of "wish" items than on a mailing list.

Thanks for caring about Okular :-)

Cheers,
  Albert

--- Comment #4 from werner.froidev...@gmail.com ---
This function would be very useful in case the presentation is done on a "twin
view mode" connected monitor having a lower resolution than the primary screen.
This would allow to re-size the presentation to the "size" of the connected
monitor.

[Okular-devel] [okular] [Bug 323070] The presentation mode of Okular does not allow to zoom in or out

2013-11-12 Thread werner.froidevaux
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323070

--- Comment #7 from werner.froidev...@gmail.com ---
I'll try to explain:
* Start Okular in presentation mode on a notebook with screen resolution of
1920x1080 --> everything is fine.
* Connect a monitor or a beamer to the notebook (VGA connector) with resolution
1280x768. In Kubuntu (13.10) go to Systems Settings > Display and Monitor. Two
rectangles representing the two displays are shown. Drag-and-Drap the rectangle
of the connected monitor onto the rectangle of the primary screen and center it
vertically and horizontally. Apply. In this "mirror" or "twin view" mode, an
area of 1280x768 is mirrored from the primary screen to the connected monitor.
* Now start Okular in presentation mode again. The presentation is always
scaled to the size of the primary screen, i.e. 1920x1080. Perfect. However, on
the connected monitor left, right, top and bottom are cut off.
* A zoom function would allow to size the presentation to the size of the
connected monitor, i.e. 1280x768.

--- Comment #8 from werner.froidev...@gmail.com ---
A clarification to my last point:
* A zoom function would allow to size the presentation so that it fits into the
"mirrored" area 1280x768. This way it would also be fully visible on the
connected monitor.
