[Okular-devel] [okular] [Bug 330643] New: Trim Margins resets View Mode

2014-02-01 Thread Franz Berger
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330643

Bug ID: 330643
Summary: Trim Margins resets View Mode
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: okular
   Version: 0.18.1
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org
  Reporter: fberger.w...@gmail.com

When toggling Trim Margins, Okular applies the View Mode settings as saved in
okularpartrc, independently of which mode is set in the current Okular window.

For example, this is problematic when viewing multiple documents with different
view modes and toggling Trim Margins on one of them.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open two or more documents in Okular.
2. Set one document to Single Page.
3. Set another document to Facing Pages.
4. Toggle Trim Margins on the first document.
Actual Results:
The view mode of the first document (which was originally in Single Page mode
and on which Trim Margins was toggled) is now in Facing Pages mode.
Moreover, the view mode settings still show it being "Single Page", which is
obviously not true.

Expected Results:
The first document should still be in Single Page mode after toggling Trim
Margins.

Yes, I think Glitter Right-Down should perform diagonally from top left to
right bottom but it is working like Glitter Right transition i.e. from left
to right horizontally.

Well, you think it's a bug, you should provide feedback not us :-) Can you
tell us why you think is a bug?

2014-02-01 Thread Gagan Batra
Hi Albert,

Firstly, I apologize for asking the same question on different places. It
won't happen again.
Secondly, I think "Glitter Right" and "Glitter Right-Down" transitions in
Okular are working in same way. I think it's a bug.
Please provide some feedback regarding this.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

I'm not going to answer here (as said in the bug, it's not a good idea to have
the same discussion in two places), please stick to the bug thread for further
discussion on this issue.

It may or it may not, it all depends on the ideas people create for GSoC and
the availability of existing developers to mentor those ideas.

[Okular-devel] [okular] [Bug 317073] Request to add fade transition to presentation mode

2014-02-01 Thread Albert Astals Cid
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317073

--- Comment #11 from Albert Astals Cid ---
Please, do not ask the same question in two places, having two discussions
going at one over the same thing (mailing list and here) is not a good thing
since it makes it much harder to follow the discussion.

As if you can work on this or not, you can work on whatever you want, it's your
time, so we're not going to tell you how to use it :-)

Now. Saheb said he wanted to try fixing it so it may be better if you find
something else to work on not to duplicate efforts. But on the other hand you
could also collaborate on it, or you both implement it and we choose the better
solution. So as you said, it's your time, do what you think it's better for you
:-)

Saheb can you confirm you're still working on trying to implement this?
