Well, in option 1 you mean keeping the part.rc intact and then copying all the
options to shell.rc? That would work for Okular, but would still cause problems
in other apps that use the part, no?

[okular] [Bug 423098] New: Random okular crashing when focused.

2020-06-17 Thread Chinmay
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423098

Bug ID: 423098
Summary: Random okular crashing when focused.
   Product: okular
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org
  Reporter: chhajedchin...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: okular (1.10.0)

Qt Version: 5.12.8
Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Operating System: Linux 5.4.0-37-generic x86_64
Windowing system: X11
Distribution: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I wasn't doing anything in okular and I was in other window. When I focused
screen on which okular was open, it automatically closed. This happens every
time after I added this ppa `sudo add-apt-repository
ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports`. I use dwm tiling window manager and not default KDE
Plasma. I have updated my kubuntu to 20.04 and since then many KDE applications
(eg: `systemsettings5`) are failing to open. Okular wasn't one of them but when
I added this ppa, it started to crash.

- Custom settings of the application:

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
