[old-chevy-truck] flexible fuel line

2007-10-22 Thread Mike Burns
Hello list,

I need to replace the flexible fuel line that goes from the tank to the
metal line on my 40 half ton. I cannot find the correct line. Jim Carter
listed one and I ordered it. But it is the wrong product, and was assembled
poorly even if it had been correct. I have looked at several other parts
suppliers but can't find one listed.

The original is 7 inches long. It has a male fitting on one end that
swivels, and a female on the other that does not swivel.

Thanks

Mike Burns

Evidently there are those few who are not aware of the recent
studies of computer graphics and motion sickness: Motion sickness
is emerging as a propensity of almost any form of visual computer
graphics that depict motion to the user, as quoted in an online
article of Scientific American. I admire people who become
informed before they opine.

I believe Chevs of the 40's has those, and they know their old parts, ei/which
is correct type. They have lots of odd small hardware, you can't find other
places. Great catalog too. Pictures of every part! They have web site, but not
the greatest site.

2007-10-22 Thread Jonas Thaler
Maybe I was just too busy enjoying the old trucks so much that I
didn't feel sick. I I have a great love of old junkyards filled
with history. I went onto this man's website and carefully examined
every one of those beautiful slowly-rusting hulks, wishing I could
buy even one of them and restore it. Of course having done that, I
know better to look and not touch right now.

It takes a bit of work to maintain a virtual parts yard online.

Bravo for that.

I could not find one on the Chevs of the 40s website or in their catalog
either. I've run out of places to look.

Thanks

[old-chevy-truck] 56 Chevy spartan big truck parts

2007-10-22 Thread Chris
I ran across a 56 Chevy spartan flatbed at the local PNP, I snagged
the instrument cluster and fender emblems off of it as I know thats
rare stuff to run across. Anyone interested let me know. The fender
emblems read Chevrolet Spartan 70. It also had good sheet metal on
it as well.
