Hi, I am looking to replace and add some sound deadening material while I
have the '51 apart - under the headliner is toasty and falling out, same for
inside the firewall, and I would like to add some inside the doors and
behind the seat and corners.  There are several products being
advertised and the pricing varies as much also - any ideas on the products
would be appreciated.

thanks,

There is also a rather new spray on product called Lizard Skin. Interesting
product depending on how far you have the truck taken apart.

[old-chevy-truck] parts

2013-09-17 Thread rl_westmoreland

Anyone made any purchases of parts from SummitAuto888? I've seen several things on there like rear bumper, brackets, cab corners & others. Was just wondering about the quality of products they have. This is a provider on ebay...

Dan, Would the Chevy Duty that you were talking about happen to be listed as www.classicparts.com now? --- In old-chevy-truck@yahoogroups.com, wrote:Anyone made any purchases of parts from SummitAuto888? [old-chevy-truck] Drove my 51 up and down the driveway

2013-09-17 Thread rl_westmoreland

Finally got my brakes working a couple of weekends ago after installing new brake wheel cylinders and brake lines. Drove it up and down my 50ft or so driveway for the first time (first to reverse) about 10 times but it was like driving 55 on the road to me. Grinnin like a possum eatin briers

Hi Dennis, that's all it took - 14" sq. ? I've been figuring on trying to
cover the entire inside of the door skin
