[old-chevy-truck] classic parts service
wow. i just got off the phone with classic parts (aka chevy duty). they have a smoking deal on 55-59 speedo for $99. i called, it's in stock. woohoo. i ordered it on line thru their website last thurs and they offer same day shipping... no email, no thanks, no we shipped it. so i call on monday. we don't have your order. :( so i reorder it while i'm on the phone. same price, same same day shipping. no email, no thanks, no we shipped it. i just got off the phone with them. the speedo has not shipped. no reason as to why same day shipping needs a call 5 days later. it will ship today if they can get their ducks in a row. anyone else experience this with classic parts? is the economy that good that they don't need to ship parts? i'm just venting. I've not had any dealings with them in some time but a couple of years back I was ordering stuff from them on what seems like a weekly basis. Had no problems with service or delivery. I just ordered a turn signal cup with all the innards from their web site. It arrived 4 days later. Very happy with the parts.
