Alex,

If this was a general statement I agree. If this is about etherplan I tested it
on windows and linux vm and it works fine, and since its web based it should be
fairly agnostic.

Hi Steve and all:

Yes, let's get the TSC to review and agree that we want this as a tool for the
community, then Kenny or I will submit a helpdesk ticket with the request for
the community.

Best,

Phil.

Hi Eric, Phil,

EtherPlant seems to be a great tool.
Brian started to use it to define some of the use case call flows.
I would like to recommend it as well.

Best regards

Hi Eric,

It could be an interesting if people have not the Visio license (or any similar

I will try it.

Re: [onap-discuss] [onap-tsc] ONAP Release Naming Framework Election Has Concluded - Global Cities Wins

2017-06-14 Thread Lisa Caywood
So I had already done a search for "Amsterdam" earlier, and for "Anchorage"
this morning.

Both appear to be free of conflict, eg not appearing in trademarked tech
product names.

Amsterdam is a bit more visually distinctive than Anchorage (to the 2nd
point of marketing considerations).

The TSC can move forward on determining which it prefers.

We (Marketing) can also review all of the alternatives in Gildas' list for
subsequent releases if desired, and make recommendations from there, if
desired.

Thanks, Lisa

2017-06-14 Thread Lisa Caywood
Folks, please confirm which are options for review.

Please also note that usual practice is to do an informal review and Google
search for the terms to make sure there are no conflicts with these names
in the tech space, but NOT do a formal trademark search. I wanted to make
sure everyone is aware of this. A formal search would require additional
time (weeks, possibly) as well as budget. Please let me know if there are
any questions or concerns for this.

Thanks, Lisa

Hello Ahmad,

While updating the "/opt/eteshare/config/integration_robot_properties.py" file,
I observed the following config lines:

# aaf info - everything is from the private oam network (also called ecomp
private network)
GLOBAL_AAF_SERVER = "http://10.3.0.72:8101";
GLOBAL_AAF_USERNAME = "d...@openecomp.org"
GLOBAL_AAF_PASSWORD = "ecomp_admin"

Could you please let me know which VM is reffered by AAF_SERVER config, as I am
not able to find any vm instance with similar name in OS instance list.

You can update open stack info

/opt/eteshare/config/integration_robot_properties.py
/opt/eteshare/config/vm_properties.py

I recommend you look into all the config files in /opt/eteshare/config/ and
update where necessary.

You will also need to update public_net_id, vfw_image_name, etc for the two use
cases. Below is the directory where the two heat and env files can be found.

/var/opt/OpenECOMP_ETE/robot/assets/asdc/

Example for vfw it would be
/var/opt/OpenECOMP_ETE/robot/assets/asdc/base_vfw/base_vfw.env

I observed that robot is pre-configured with static IP and rackspace related
settings. But I am trying on the OpenStack setup. So Do we have any guidelines
on configuring the robot before running the demo.sh.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the info.

I tried to manually create subscriber using the following ReST URLs sequentially

1)PUT
/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region/{cloud-owner}/{cloud-region-id}
2)PUT
/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region/{cloud-owner}/{cloud-region-id}/tenants/tenant/{tenant-id}
3)PUT /

business/customers/customer/{customer-id}
4)PUT
/business/customers/customer/{global-customer-id}/service-subscriptions/service-subscription/{service-type}
5)PUT /service-design-and-creation/services/service/$UUID

I could see the subscriber list while deploy service instance. But while adding
VNF to the service instance, I couldn't LCP region and tenant populated. I have
provided cloud-region-id and tenant created in step-1 and step-2 while
creating customer, aren't those LCP and tenant? Any additional request do I
need to perform for this?

The other questions on these exercise I have are:

1)Do we use subscriber to be tied with openstack tenant logically? so that
whenever we deploy network service it deploys in the opens

I was not present for this discussion. We need to have a meeting around the 3rd
week of
July to go through project by project progress. Phil and I discussed a virtual
meeting
since folks will be too busy to travel, and some may not be able to.

Would like to get a sense from the TSC community if this is appropriate and more
convenient while voting for dates.

Hi Alex,
Time zone issues will persist even when we have the physical meeting. This
will have to be decided on a meeting to meeting basis and the organizers time
zone. At the very least with the virtual meeting, anyone interested has a
chance to attend.
Also there are something’s that we can never solve such as how do you figure
out when everyone is free?

Hi,

I have installed the ONAP successfully over RHOSP-10 (newton). I was able to
successfully create licensing model & virtual function.
Distributed the VSP as well, but my dcae was unable to reach the keystone
server, so during defining some workaround of routing openstack crashed(due to
identified issues).

Now I am trying to install again and found 1.0-STAGING-latest tag is missing.

So in my understanding ONAP will take time to mature. (latest: approval of
redundant projects.)

Thanks James,

that sounds absolutely reasonable and I tried adapt the docker version to
1.1.. which didn't give me a working portal. So left it as it was
pre-configured in the template and trusted the comment "You don'T need to
change other parameters" (or similar...).

Do you think artifacts_version: 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT +  docker_version:

Thanks James,

that sounds absolutely reasonable and I tried adapt the docker version to
1.1.. which didn't give me a working portal. So left it as it was
pre-configured in the template and trusted the comment "You don'T need to
change other parameters" (or similar...).

Do you think artifacts_version: 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT +  docker_version:
1.0-STAGING-latest + gerrit_branch: release-1.0.0 will enhance the chance
to get the ONAP stack working?

[onap-discuss] Credentials for DMAAP

2017-06-14 Thread bharath thiruveedula
Hi,

Let me start with the context. In our ONAP setup, we have done all the steps in
design phase(which is till network service distribution) successfully. Then
instead of running "./demo.sh init" in ROBOT VM, I executed the cURL
requests(because of some issues with openstack we are using) which created

  1.  Cloud Region
  2. Customer and tied to cloud region and service-subscription
  3.  Service

After we can add 1)network service 2)VNF in VID app. Then ran ./demo.sh
preload , in which testcases passed

The actual problem starts here with adding VF module, it throws the error like
"not found matching in MSOCatalog in db"(which I already posted in
https://lists.onap.org/pipermail/onap-discuss/2017-June/001363.html). Then we
started debugging into it this problem. Checked mso_catalog db for service,
vf_module etc., where I can see only prepopulated data which is dummy data. So
I want to check is there any data coming with topic "ASDC-DISTR-NOTIF-TOPIC" in
DMAAP but it seems it needs credentials. How can we see the data in DMAAP(by
the way, I couldn't see in portal, it is checking on 10.0.4.1 IP but my DMAAP
IP is different)

And one quick question, can you confirm whether my below understanding is
correct or not

  * Whenever user distribute a network service in SDC, it sends a notification
  * MSO listens for the notification and downloads the artifacts from SDC,
and stores into the DB for example in service, vnf_resource table.
  * When the user add "Network service or VNF" from VID app, it stores in
MSO_REQUESTS.infra_requests table(the communication happens through ReST API).
  * But I couldn't understand why SDNC call MSO while sending vnf_topology in
"./demo.sh preload" step. Is this the step where mso creates entry in
"mso_catalog.vf_module" table?

Bharath T

Hi All,

We are trying to onboard a Vendor Software Product. SDC is not accepting the
corresponding zip file saying its invalid (doesn't give more details in UI ! ).

We have found that there many violations of mandatory heat guidelines due to
which SDC is accepting the zip. But changing the templates so that these
guidelines get passed is very tedious work.

Any possibility that this validation can be disabled in SDC for time being ?
Thank you.

As discussed in last time breakout session, the intention is both, for open
source project, we don't have guideline, it is more standard's way like 3GPP or
ETSI, it will delay at least our release for 3 or 6 months without modeling
spec.
I will update other 2 revisions tomorrow, thanks a lot for your comments

Hi Deng hui,

Regarding the modelling delivery, is this expectation in line with the
expectation from the projects about who publishes what, and how do you see that
working? In the expected deliverables, is it the information models or data
models or both?

Could I suggest a few wording changes in the scope. I understand the
intention, but they could be interpreated more broadly.
*Purpose:
*Publish Guidelines

*Facilitate model reviews
*Publish models
*Curate approved models (model lifecycle management, e.g., versioning)
*Coordinate adoption/use across projects ->

Hi Halfon,

Ok, got it. Thanks !

PFA zip that contains Juniper vMX heat templates taken from GitHub. From cloned
files, we have removed the ones not needed for our topology. Also as mandated
by guidelines, we have added env file (with some dummy values) for every YAML.

Appreciate if you suggest on changes needed.

Thank you.

You can update open stack info

/opt/eteshare/config/integration_robot_properties.py
/opt/eteshare/config/vm_properties.py

I recommend you look into all the config files in /opt/eteshare/config/ and
update where necessary.

You will also need to update public_net_id, vfw_image_name, etc for the two use
cases. Below is the directory where the two heat and env files can be found.

/var/opt/OpenECOMP_ETE/robot/assets/asdc/

Example for vfw it would be
/var/opt/OpenECOMP_ETE/robot/assets/asdc/base_vfw/base_vfw.env

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the info.

I tried to manually create subscriber using the following ReST URLs sequentially

1)PUT
/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region/{cloud-owner}/{cloud-region-id}
2)PUT
/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region/{cloud-owner}/{cloud-region-id}/tenants/tenant/{tenant-id}
3)PUT /

business/customers/customer/{customer-id}
4)PUT
/business/customers/customer/{global-customer-id}/service-subscriptions/service-subscription/{service-type}

1)Do we use subscriber to be tied with openstack tenant logically? so that
whenever we deploy network service it deploys in the openstack tenant space to
which subscriber is linked to(I am assuming this from the context of ReST API-3
above)

2)While adding VNF, we have a textbox called "Product Family", what does it
refers to? Is it the same as service type we created in step-4?

P.S: Daniel, any plans for creating/encouraging more of direct chat tools like
IRC/Slack, am aware of existing IRC channels though?

It is just a customer basically. Subscriber, openstack tenant, openstack region
all have to be loaded into aai and that’s done with a rest api

Face-to-Face Meeting

I was not present for this discussion. We need to have a meeting around the 3rd
week of
July to go through project by project progress. Phil and I discussed a virtual
meeting
since folks will be too busy to travel, and some may not be able to.

Would like to get a sense from the TSC community if this is appropriate and more
convenient while voting for dates.

thanks
Mazin
