2018-07-03 Thread Mandeep Singh Kalra
Thanks a lot Yan.

I guess these csars ( for eg vgw) are imported on the SDC. Do we use any
tooling to create these tosca templates.
For eg :: SDC also has a design studio to create the templates or vnfsdk is
used here ?

Which model is tested in VOLTE use case? Do sVNFMs,used today in VOLTE, support

You mentioned that VOLTE VMs can be placed either using GVNFM or sVNFMs. Are

There are two models for NFVO, VNFM and VIM interfacing.
One is direct model, where VNFM calls VIM directly.
The other is indirect model, where NFVO acting as the proxy between the two and
calls VIM for the VNFM.
In either case, the VNFM could be a third party SVNFM or the GVNFM as part of
VFC.

Hi Rebecca,

Taking the VoLTE use case as an example, VNF configuration is completed through
the vendor EMS.

VF-C provides an component called EMS driver which can translate alarms and
performance received from the vendor EMS into VES format and report to DCAE
VESCollector. Then the alarm is received by the DCAE application, such as
Holmes(do alarm correlation ), then policy project will match the corresponding
policy, and then call action actor, such as VF-C to do heal.

Currently , VF-C does not support VNF configuration changes based on alarm
close loop.

Yan

Hi,

I have a related question.

Assume I am using VFC with a S-VNFM for LCM.

And sure, I can use an external EM for configuration of my VNF. (This is the
answer specified below)

However, how can I utilize ONAP for closed loops using my VNF specific alarms
and VNF specific configuration? If there is something in my VNF specific data
model generating an alarm or counter (VES event) which I then want a policy to
have a configuration change sent to the VNF.

I believe this kind of closed loop could be done with APPC. If I am using VFC
do I also use APPC somehow for this scenario?

Thanks,

Rebecca

Dear Helen and Integration team,

We are writing to invite you to use Arm machines for Integration Project.

There are individual Arm servers that are not running OpenStack, that can be
requested through automatic dash board for three weeks at a time.

The VPN credentials for Individual Arm servers are handed out automatically.
https://labs.opnfv.org/
When you reserve the machines, if the name of the machine is Arm45, for
example, the IP address of the machine will be 10.10.100.55 (just add 10 to the
server number). You will get an email with VPN credentials with password about
45 minutes after you reserve.

Any problem you have, feel free to contact Joe Kidder ^ ^

Re: [onap-discuss] creating DCAE microservices

2018-07-03 Thread Vijay VK
Hi Rebecca,

Service component creation itself can be developed independently for most part
(DCAE platform integration requires components to support additional API -
configbindingservice api for dynamic configuration support). The wiki
here describes
various flows involved in onboarding, service composition, deployment and how
dynamic configuration can be retrieved using configbindingservice api’s.

Specific to Beijing release, the deployment information can be found under RTD
–
https://onap.readthedocs.io/en/beijing/submodules/dcaegen2.git/docs/sections/installation.html.
  This deployment includes some static service which are instantiated during
overall ONAP deployment under both Heat and OOM. Deploying additional service
components into DCAE platform can also be triggered from CLAMP (provided the
blueprint/configuration models of new service components are loaded into SDC).

To assist new contributors, I’m capturing the pre-requisites and requirement
for DCAE project integration here -
https://wiki.onap.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=36963506 (will continue to
update).

Hope this helps to clarify and scope the platform integration needs.

Thanks,
Vijay.

Re: [onap-discuss] [dcae] VES unknown host error

2018-07-03 Thread Vijay VK
Hi William,
Unfortunately the steps to restore consul state is not straight forward
currently (Consul itself is deployed by OOM, DCAE during bootstrap register few
services and KV store when components are deployed; the bootstrap container
itself exits after triggering all deploy).
1. Could you check the consul UI (on the nodeport 30270 exposed) and verify
if you see component and its corresponding Key/value information are available?
If you do see then, then we can re-register CBS service via below post (from
any of the pods) and restart docker ves pod (this will force configuration
fetch upon restart and load valid properties).
curl -v -X PUT -H "Content-Type: application/json" --data '{"ID": "dcae-cbs1",
"Name": "config-binding-service", "Address": "config-binding-service", "Port":
1}' consul-server.onap:8500/v1/agent/service/register
2. If however the Key/value tab is missing DCAE components k/v store in
CONSUL – then we may need to redeploy DCAE via bootstrap to restore the
components and Consul state correctly. We are looking into some optimization
that will simplify consul state restoration in R3 to address such issues; this
is being tracked under DCAEGEN2-580.
Thanks,
Vijay

Could you run the below curl from within pod (vescollector) and share the o/p?

curl config-binding-service:1/service_component/dcae-ves-collector
curl consul-server.onap:8500/v1/catalog/service/config-binding-service

Hello ONAP community,

Where can I find instructions on how DCAE service components can be created and
deployed in Beijing release?

There must be a document explaining this somewhere that I haven’t found yet. 😊

Hi Tian,

Please work with AAI PTL Jimmy to get the request documented in AAI first in
wiki at
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Resources+and+Repositories#ResourcesandRepositories-ActiveandAvailableInventory

Once this is done, I will review and request LF creation accordingly.

Hi,

On this specific point:

TBD
*   aai/pomba/validation or aai/validation ?

I would be inclined to go with aai/validation, since the Validation service is
designed to be used in a variety of AAI flows (AAI data pre/post validation,
validation of DMaaP events etc), therefore is not specific to pomba.

Subject: [onap-discuss] [LOG][AAI][SDNC] for [POMBA] Request for 10 additional
Repos - CIMAN-169

LF, Jessica, Gildas,
   Hi, I am putting in a formal request for some additional repos, (git,
gerrit, nexus, nexus3, sonar, Jenkins infrastructure).

   There are 10 repos requested for the POMBA sub-project these are distributed
across logging-analtyics, SDNC and AA&I. I understand the PTLs (Tim and Jimmy)
of sdnc and aai are aware of their requests - I have included all information
across the projects to help collaboration and consolidation of work for the
Linux Foundation. This includes Sharon and Prudence of the POMBA sub-project.
   I am including Seshu from SO because I understand new repos are coming in
there soon as well - since we are all helping each other out - I would ask any
other project to join the conversation on any new repos they require so we can
compare notes..
   The repos are of the AA&I model - where we have 1 repo per microservice.

DevOps jira only for logging-analytics so far has all these details and links
to the following 3 tracking jiras.
https://jira.onap.org/browse/CIMAN-169

https://jira.onap.org/browse/LOG-193

*   logging-analytics/pomba-context-aggregator

*   logging-analytics/pomba-aai-context-builder

*   logging-analytics/pomba-sdc-context-builder

*   logging-analytics/pomba-sdnc-context-builder

*   logging-analytics/pomba-network-discovery-context-builder

*   logging-analytics/pomba-audit-common

The 2 requests below - are for info only right now - I am deferring to the AAI
and SDNC projects to finalize these new repo requests - adding here for
completeness from the POMBA perspective
https://jira.onap.org/browse/AAI-1348
TBD
*   aai/pomba/validation or aai/validation ?

https://jira.onap.org/browse/SDNC-358
TBD
* sdnc/service-decomposition
* sdnc/network-discovery
* sdnc/network-discovery-api

We need to also review the proposed maven groupId, artifactId, version
(currently 1.1.2-SNAPSHOT) and java package name (org.onap.pomba in the sdnc
and aai repos for example) and update the API section of the M1 page for Monday
in all 3 projects.

Hi Michael,

I have updated the wiki at
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Resources+and+Repositories#ResourcesandRepositories-LoggingEnhancements
 to update the "Maven Group ID" field.
Please review and confirm this is what you intended and we will take it from
there for Log project.
As you mentioned, we will wait request from other PTLs impacted by this
initiative to create their repos.

I see you added 2 extra columns labelled "Maven Artifact ID" and "Java package
name". I am not sure what is the purpose of these 2 extra columns. This won't
be used by LF. Could you explain?

Thanks,

Re: [onap-discuss] Resource and repository page

2018-07-03 Thread gildas.lani...@huawei.com
Hi Steve,

Sorry for my late answer.
Yes, Steve that page is still uptodate.
There are 2 exceptions:

1. For a few hours after a PTLs has edited the wiki page (to add repo)
and that I have reviewed the materials and sent out the request to LF to
execute; the wiki page is off compared to what Gerrit list at
https://gerrit.onap.org/r/#/admin/projects/

2. There is a potential discrepancy if someone add a repo in the wiki
page but DO NOT request me to review

In case you have a specific example that bother you, let me know I will be
glad to sort this out.

Thanks,
Gildas

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the AAI calls are at a bad time for me
due to timezones (2am my time), so that's not going to work.

I'll send you an off list email with a description of what we're trying to

You need to create a separate OAM network in the other region, such that VNFs
can use it. ONAP and VNFs will communicate using public IPs. So, when you
create a VNF, you need to provide the public IP of the DCAE collector instead
of the private one. Likewise, when you mount the VNF into APPC, you need to use
the public IP of the VNF (vPacketGen in the vFWCL case).

Hello,
I am trying to run the vFWCL on a newly registered VIM.
The ONAP instance runs on a tenant1 in regionOne.
As i don't have enough resources in tenant1, i should deploy the vFW and run
the close loop on another tenant2 on regionTwo.
I have a problem to connect the use-case VMs to the ONAP OAM network because
they are not on the same tenant. And so, the vfw VM cannot reach the DCAE to
send mesures and i cannot perform the appc mount point.
Does anyone have an idea how to enable the vFWCL use-case VMs to reach ONAP OAM
network in order to run the close loop?
Thanks,

Re: [onap-discuss] [modeling] ONAP R3 Modeling high level requirements

2018-07-03 Thread Jessie Jewitt
Hello DENG Hui,
  I think it has been beneficial to collect and review the modeling
requirements for R3. Thank you for doing this. I have a few questions for
you, if you would be so kind as to answer:

1. The requirements were supposed to be completed, according to the
Casablanca Release Calendar, on 5/25. I haven't seen a poll, or anything,
for the approval of these requirements. When do you anticipate they will be
officially approved? I didn't see anything in the meeting minutes from
today's meeting.

2. Again, according to the release calendar, we were to have established a
"modeling plan" by 6/28. Does such a plan exist? If so, could you point me
to where I can find it?

3. You indicated in the modeling subcommittee meeting this morning that our
"model freeze" is in 3 weeks. With the requirements not yet agreed, and
given the number of requirements currently specified, what is your
expectation of what can actually be accomplished in 3 week's time?

Thank you,
Jessie

I have reported this to Ryan now.

Ryan is looking at what else could this be.

During the rest of the day, we notice JIRA 90% idle.

In particular, I’d give a look at the videos in this section: “VNF Onboarding,

implementation(which is actually configuring the ELK stack) of CLAMP dashboard

Re: [onap-discuss] [dcae] VES unknown host error

Thanks,

It looks like they don't return anything:
root@dcae-ves-collector:~# curl
consul-server.onap:8500/v1/catalog/service/config-binding-service
[]root@dcae-ves-collector:~# curl
config-binding-service:1/service_component/dcae-ves-collector
root@dcae-ves-collector:~#

There may have been a restart. Is there a way I can restore the consul

Hi  Bharath,

As Michael mentioned, did you try accessing SDC api directly via "/sdc/v1" ?

If that url works, the API should be able to be reached via MSB internal API
gateway at
"http://$OPENO_IP:10081/api/sdc/v1/{$resource}";

More information can be found on the wiki:

Hi,

I think that your API is missing the basic authentication credentials need to
access that API.

In addition did you try accessing the api directly with out msb?

Hi

I am trying to register SDC in MSB using Beijing release. I tried to register
based on the requests mentioned in
https://git.onap.org/demo/tree/boot/msb_vm_init.sh?h=beijing#n134
 which  is curl -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"serviceName":
"sdc", "version": "v1", "url": "/sdc/v1","protocol": "REST", "nodes": [ {"ip":
"'$SDC_IP'","port": "8080"}]}'
"http://$OPENO_IP:10081/api/microservices/v1/services";

But when I am trying to access the sdc from MSB, we get 404 not found. Is
/sdc/v1/ is the right URL? I can see the sdc2/rest/swagger.json to get swagger
details. But I am not sure how to register SDC properly. Am I missing
something here?

Best Regards

Bharath T

Re: [onap-discuss] Add new vim to onap

2018-07-03 Thread Marco Platania
This is what I typically do. I modify /etc/mso/config.d/cloud_config.json in
the SO docker from:
{
  "cloud_config":
  {
"identity_services":
{
"DEFAULT_KEYSTONE":
{
  "identity_url": "http://135.197.225.10:35357/v2.0";,
  "mso_id": "admin",
  "mso_pass": "2fa2266344b4caaca1eba8264d277831",
  "admin_tenant": "service",
  "member_role": "admin",
  "tenant_metadata": true,
  "identity_server_type": "KEYSTONE",
  "identity_authentication_type": "USERNAME_PASSWORD"
}
},
"cloud_sites":
{
"RegionOne":
{
  "region_id": "RegionOne",
  "clli": "RegionOne",
  "aic_version": "2.5",
  "identity_service_id": "DEFAULT_KEYSTONE"
}
}
  }
}

To

{
"identity_services":
{
"DEFAULT_KEYSTONE":
{
  "identity_url": "http://135.197.225.10:35357/v2.0";,
  "mso_id": "admin",
  "mso_pass": "2fa2266344b4caaca1eba8264d277831",
  "admin_tenant": "service",
  "member_role": "admin",
  "tenant_metadata": true,
  "identity_server_type": "KEYSTONE",
  "identity_authentication_type": "USERNAME_PASSWORD"
},
"REGION_TWO_KEYSTONE":
{
  "identity_url":
"http://10.43.213.157:9001/api/multicloud/v0/CloudOwner_RegionTwo/identity/v2.0";,
  "mso_id": "marco",
  "mso_pass": "f461eb3230f0b4b7b1ce8ed018da155f",
  "admin_tenant": "service",
  "member_role": "admin",
  "tenant_metadata": true,
  "identity_server_type": "KEYSTONE",
  "identity_authentication_type": "USERNAME_PASSWORD"
}
},
"cloud_sites":
{
"RegionOne":
{
  "region_id": "RegionOne",
  "clli": "RegionOne",
  "aic_version": "2.5",
  "identity_service_id": "DEFAULT_KEYSTONE"
},
"RegionTwo":
{
  "region_id": "RegionTwo",
  "clli": "RegionTwo",
  "aic_version": "2.5",
  "identity_service_id": "REGION_TWO_KEYSTONE"
}
}

The identity_url in REGION_TWO_KEYSTONE uses MultiVIM as mediation layer, but
that’s not necessary. It depends on your environment. In my case, the second
region uses keystone v3, which is not supported by SO.

Do not restart your container, otherwise changes are lost. After you change
/etc/mso/config.d/cloud_config.json, you can look at any log, e.g.
/var/log/ecomp/MSO/BPMN/auditmso.log. It should tell you that a new config has
been loaded.

I replayed the config and restarted the mso docker but the problem persists.

[onap-discuss] JIRA slow and times out

Hi,

I have noticed that from 11:00 UTC to approximately 16:00 UTC the ONAP JIRA
system is very slow and often times out. Specifically, clicking on an issue on
a board, I usually get an “Error, Request timed out” message. Is anyone else
experiencing this issue?

Re: [onap-discuss] OOM Rancher deployment: dockerdata-nfs mount failed

2018-07-03 Thread Arun Arora
I found the cause and the solution as well.

The reason of failure was I was giving floating IPs as arguments while
executing scripts in both NFS Master as well as Slave.
When using the IPs from 'ifconfig' command output the NFS mount worked fine.
Unless I missed something in the documentation, it's not clearly mentioned to
use the IP from 'ifconfig' command output. In case this holds true for other
setups as well, I would like to suggest to update the documentation mentioning
this explicitly.

Hi  Bharath,

As Michael mentioned, did you try accessing SDC api directly via "/sdc/v1" ?

If that url works, the API should be able to be reached via MSB internal API
gateway at "http://$OPENO_IP:10081/api/sdc/v1/{$resource}";

I think that your API is missing the basic authentication credentials need to

In addition did you try accessing the api directly with out msb?

Hi

I am trying to register SDC in MSB using Beijing release. I tried to register
based on the requests mentioned in
https://git.onap.org/demo/tree/boot/msb_vm_init.sh?h=beijing#n134 which   is
curl -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"serviceName": "sdc",
"version": "v1", "url": "/sdc/v1","protocol": "REST", "nodes": [ {"ip":
"'$SDC_IP'","port": "8080"}]}'
"http://$OPENO_IP:10081/api/microservices/v1/services";

But when I am trying to access the sdc from MSB, we get 404 not found. Is
/sdc/v1/ is the right URL? I can see the sdc2/rest/swagger.json to get swagger
details. But I am not sure how to register SDC properly. Am I missing
something here?

Thanks Michael.

My question is if I create a tosca template from SDC design studio, and then
download the tosca artifact.
Can I import the same tosca template on some other ONAP instance ?

Regards
Mandeep

If I understand the question correctly they you want to add an artifact to one
of the models in sdc.

This option is available from the ui interface you can choose to add a deploy
meant artifact based on the versions available the.

Once add it will be distributed with our package.
