Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] evergreen-ils footer change

2011-08-17 Thread Jesse Ephraim
Someone asked this a couple of years ago:

"I've noticed that some other open source systems (particularly the various
flavors of Asterisk) have released a self-install ISO file for some of their
systems -- similar to the VMWare file, but for an install on a blank machine.
Has anyone on this list created such a thing?"

Has anyone created one in the interim?

A small, but important quibble: Evergreen's license is the GPL version 2
*or later*, at the user's option. Consequently, I suggest the following
version:

© 2008-2011 GPLS and others. Evergreen is open source software,

A small, but important quibble: Evergreen's license is the GPL version 2
*or later*, at the user's option. Consequently, I suggest the following
version:

© 2008-2011 GPLS and others. Evergreen is open source software,

[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] evergreen-ils footer change

2011-08-15 Thread Lori Bowen Ayre
As I haven't heard an objection to my suggestion, I will be asking those who
have the permissions to do so to change the footer on all the pages in the
evergreen.ils.org domain including the wiki and blog.

The footer will read:

© 2008-2011 GPLS and others. Evergreen is open source software,
freely licensed under GNU GPLv2. The Evergreen Project is a member of the
Software Freedom Conservancy.

with a link from "GNU GPLv 2" to http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html

and "member of" links to http://evergreen-ils.org/blog/?p=583

and "Software Freedom Conservancy" links to http://sfconservancy.org/

If anyone missed the previous posts and has an objection, please contact
directly (and please copy Jim Craner as well).

Thanks all!
