Job specific requirements: • Strong work experience in application integration using web services such as JSON, REST on an IBM-I. • Expertise in Service Oriented Design & implementing RESTful APIs, SOAP, WSDL, SON, Web services and XML. • Strong Experience in creating and interfacing with SOAP/WSDL/XML/REST web services Knowledge of Servers and Configuration - Apache. • Proficient in configuration, maintenance, and support of application servers such as IBM WebSphere/ apache HTTP servers. The position reports to an Information Technology Manager and maintains open and unbiased communication to ensure the objectives, scope and timeline of projects are maintained and issues surfaced as appropriate. The position requires attention to detail and accuracy, high energy, forward thinking and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements while maintaining consistent and reliable IT solutions and services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Work with Information Technology Manager to establish challenging goals, plans and objectives that support the company’s vision. • Analyze complex business problems and assess how automated solutions can be implemented to solve them. • Gather data and analyze business and user needs in consultation with business owners and end-users. • Help the organization understand the capabilities of current IT resources and find ways to improve productivity and overall business performance. • Develop, test, debug and document software and/or configurations, as appropriate. • Perform IT activities to ensure positive results are achieved in the areas of customer service, on-time delivery and business case attainment. • Maintain compliance to all IT policies and procedures. • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. • Design and implement lean concepts and principles within the IT function and fully support lean initiatives throughout the company. • Support a positive work environment based mutual respect, honesty, team work and continuous improvement. • Maintain 24x7 availability to address critical business and/or IT issues.
