Role: Project Manager Duration: About 24 months Location: Brooklyn, NY Only Local Candidates with GC/EAD-GC/USC Job Description: The candidate will serve as a Project Manager/Business Analyst performing professional duties related to the review, assessment, and development of business processes. Focus on effective use of resources, both people and technology, in the execution of the NYC Department of Education - SchoolFood Modernization (SFM) Project. Functioning in a liaison capacity, incumbents combine business-planning expertise to analyze and translate departments’ business requirements into system deployments and/or business process changes. Incumbents act as a change agent to help facilitate effective deployments/modifications to current practices. Incumbents will serve all business units within the Office of School Food Services. As a Project Manager/Business Analyst for the SFM Project he/she must apply well-developed interpersonal and analytic skills, knowledge of business processes and information technology, and a deep understanding of business strategy to evaluate problems and opportunities, elicit requirements and work with the business team and others to define and execute solutions. The Project Manager/Business Analyst operates under general or minimum supervision, and performs duties with broad latitude for judgment. Incumbents independently perform strategic business analysis to support the overall project. Final products may be reviewed upon completion with regard to business and technical soundness and appropriateness. Specific duties of individual assignments vary and non-business process analysis and project management work may be assigned at a minimal level. These other duties may include general analytical assignments. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and across technical and non-technical disciplines; a strong understanding of business concepts and practices, and an ability to communicate them to both business and technology professionals is needed. Reports to: Managing Director – Enterprise Architecture and Process Improvement of the Office of School Support Services (OSSS) Key relationships:The Project Manager/Business Analyst works closely with the Program Management Team and SchoolFood business departments on all aspects of identifying and documenting business processes, risk management and project status reporting Responsibilities: · Develop business cases for projects, identifying stakeholders and defining scope, opportunities, proposed solutions, benefits and risks; · Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. · Effectively facilitate JAD sessions and/or requirement workshops. · Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications. · Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications. · Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures. · Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements. · Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions. · Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures. · Develop test cases for projects as part of requirement analysis and is responsible for managing user acceptance testing phase of the project; · Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation. · Maintain user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. · Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. · Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualification Requirements: 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and two years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) experience in wide area network planning, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and security management; or 2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) information technology experience of which at least 2 years must have been as described in “1” abov

Role: Project Manager Duration: About 24 months Location: Brooklyn, NY Interview: Face to Face Only Local Candidates with GC/EAD-GC/USC JOB DESCRIPTION: · Develop best practice approaches in defining a strategy for SharePoint solutions and guide other common tasks like solution migration across SharePoint versions. · Develop SharePoint 2010/2013 enterprise solution architecture and identify gaps/overlaps between the as-is and to-be SharePoint environments by process/function. · Guide implementing and configuring both third-party and indigenously built SharePoint based solutions. · Create and support various aspects of SharePoint solution including site collections, sites, master pages/templates, pages, web parts, content types, lists, libraries, workflows and navigation and configuring SharePoint features to business needs. · Communicate, coordinate and support SharePoint users, SharePoint site and server administrators. · Share knowledge and mentor others to create additional SharePoint focused resources · Monitor and manage issues regarding compliance with SharePoint standards. Qualifications & Skills: · Proven success in designing SharePoint application architecture for projects spanning business units, involving multiple resource pools, detailed understanding of SharePoint 2010 and 2013 platform, full SDLC experience. · Proven information architecture skills, specifically related to SharePoint 2013 data capabilities, along with thorough understanding of inter-relationships between content types, shared columns, search, navigation, information management policies, governance, and other data-related facets of an enterprise SharePoint implementation · Good understanding and strong working knowledge of OOTB (Out Of The Box) functionality and configuration of SharePoint platform. · Strong ability to design & develop web based solutions for business needs using SharePoint technologies. · Good conceptual understanding of the building blocks of SharePoint (IIS, ASP.NET, Virtual Directories, Active Directory). · A good understanding of SharePoint’s advanced features, like Business Intelligence, FAST Search will be a huge plus. · Must have excellent customer-facing, interpersonal, organizational, analytical and problem solving, excellent report writing and presentation skills. · MCSD/ MCSE SharePoint certification is desirable. Experience: · Minimum of 8+ years of IT project execution and a minimum 4 years of MS SharePoint 2010/2013 solution design experience for large number of users in an enterprise environment using agile or waterfall delivery models. · Minimum of 4+ years’ experience working with Microsoft Technologies & Architecture - SharePoint Server 2010/2013 Web Parts development & deployment, SQL Server 2008/2012) and related technologies · Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint 2010/2013 design, development through deployment. · Proven success in designing SharePoint application architectures for projects spanning business units, involving multiple resource pools, detailed understanding of SharePoint 2010/2013 platform, full SDLC experience. · Demonstrated experience in Microsoft .NET development technologies, including Visual Studio 2012, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WCF is a big plus.
