* *Teradata DBA and Performance Tuning Developer* *Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL* *Duration: 4 months* * * *Job description:* * * *Skills: * *-DBA experience on V2R6 and 12, Strong Teradata SQL, Strong Teradata Concepts & Architecture, Strong Teradata Query Optimization * *Experience, Teradata Workload Management (TASM) * *Duties: * *- Management/Setup of Teradata development/production systems. * *- Implement/setup TASM on a mature warehouse. Database management (create users/roles, databases, etc.). * *- Implement/conduct database load/performance monitoring. Recommend use of statistics, indexes, partitioning, temp tables, other techniques to reduce or redistribute database load. * *- Performance analysis and tuning.. * *- Analyze existing Business Object (BO) queries and ETL code using EXPLAIN, query log, timings, CPU utilization to identify system choke points. * *- Suggest/modify existing queries and database objects (indexes, partitions, etc.). * *- Analyze data storage patterns, suggest alternatives. * *- Analyze existing data access patterns and suggest alternatives. * *- Development of EDW loads and extracts using SQL transformations. * *- Write SQL to transform data into enterprise model. * *- Use existing tools and templates to conform to site standards. * *Required skills: * *- Proven Teradata DBA exp. * *- Teradata concepts and architecture.. * *- Data warehouse concepts and techniques. * *- Proven Exp Implementing and Tuning large enterprise Teradata Data Warehouses. * *- Teradata ELT. * *- Complex SQL queries. * *- Teradata load utilities: BTQ, Multiload, Fastload, BTEQ, TPump.
